I have a hunch you probably want at least both CC/CD on your rings. Not something you're likely to be able to change immediately but worth keeping an eye out for.

Also afaik area damage is a pretty favorable stat for barbs (and almost anyone) - two of my friends both split time between WW (with BK and Wastes) and HOTA and are usually on the lookout for improving the Area Damage for both sets. Definitely want at least 50 paragon points in Area Damage as well.

Snapshot is basically when certain variables are/arent updated (and using it to your advantage). IIRC stricken's internal cooldown is essentially 1/(attacks per second) and this particular variable is only updated when you change maps, resurrect or drink a potion I think. As such you can game it so that your Stricken's internal cooldown is lower than it 'should' be by, say, using your potion to update the variable when you have high APS due to having high Pain Enhancer stacks or a Frenzy shrine or other buffs. And so by lowering it's internal cooldown you make it so that it's stacking more quickly thus making it more effective.

Link ur profile so I can see what u got going on, I know a little bit about barbarian.

Try brawler instead of weapon master it will help alot with trash mobs

weapon master isnt that good an option for mighty weapon.

What's snapshotting? Maybe I should check out a youtube vid?

Snapshotting is referring to the fact that for channeled skills (like whirlwind) the game takes a "snapshot" of your active buffs at the beginning of the channel and applies it throughout the channel, even if the buff falls off midway through.

I think it also means that buffs applied mid-channel *do not* affect your damages throughout the remainder of the channel. I.e., you have to stop and restart whirlwind for those buffs to register.

TL;DR - another one of those things I toss into the "I don't care enough about Diablo to worry about this" pile.

First off, almost everyone who does 60+ is Para 600+ and their gems are 70+ (if your gems aren't even 60 I would continue to level them).

The way you keep up fury in higher GRs is by taking dmg so you want together as one to reduce dmg by 50% so you can stand in stuff and just absorb dmg thus increasing fury.

Ditch superstition, you should not need it at that level of a GR. NoS, Rampage, Ruthless and Brawler.

You need CC and CHD at a minimum on rings.

So I came back to the game after quitting mid season 3 - I had a great time with the wizard's tal rasha set + aether walker stun build. Now it seems that vyr's is the way to go for wizards, and I never really used that set or archon so I'm looking forward to it. Any EU players around? My clan pretty much quit the game (they are playing Ark now). Always looking for people to play with on EU servers.

Any of you Americas players going for a vyr wiz - how are you liking it?

After some minor adjustments thanks to the Barbarian Whisperer, blew through a lvl 37 GR. Going to give 38 a try at some point soon.

Have been saving up PP so i now have 8 to spend in each category. Stems from D2 when I would try and go as far as I could without spending anything on my character...

So . . . I joined a rift matchmaking group on XB1 the other day and gained like 500 paragon levels (went from 160-ish to 730-ish) nearly instantly. Anyone know how that would happen?

They opened a portal to Not the Cow Level and when I went in, I started gaining paragon levels so fast the game couldn't keep up. Is this some kind of exploit?

Lol, if that's true then yes. I've heard that the console version has been highly hacked.

Yeah, the console versions are ridiculously hacked. People are getting weapons with 10x the damage and doing GR100 with ease. It's dumb.

Must be a hack or exploit. I mean I don't play on console, just PC, but for one cow level at PL160, even if the cow level was TX difficulty, you'd gain maybe 10 PLs (just spit ballin' here), but definitely not 500+.

In case anyone cares, from my investigation on the official Blizzard D3 console forums, it seems the specific cause is people with hacked/exploited Gems of Ease, which causes the shared Exp pool to skyrocket. It's also fairly common in public games on console, and apparently on console you just have to know that when you see someone join your public game with 10,000+ paragon levels, it's time to boot or quit unless you want hundreds of illegitimate paragon levels.

I think I'm starting to understand why Blizzard hasn't implemented Seasons on console...

Thanks I will have to look at that. Rng graced me with ancient istvans the other night. I bet losing furnace from cube is big though.

With my hota barb and the new gavel I got last night I did manage to solo a 62. It all comes down to density and bypassing a really brutal choke point around half way with 5 elite packs.

I found a ludicrously good ancient Doombringer on my monk, like it's literally just a little bit of flat damage away from being perfect. I just wish there was something useful I could do with it lol.

It seems like it should combo well with some physical dual wield build. I have one on my barb that I just can't bring myself to salvage.

After going back to NS, got some great tips and got to experience the glory of zdps monks while building up my HoTA barb.

I think I'm going to give monk a bit of a rest. I'll work on this barb and get my UE DH up to snuff.
