I despise the Chapter 4 in seasons with the Set Dungeon requirement. I am terrible at those and it's the last stupid thing I need to move along from this Chapter.

Don't get confused thinking that you need to master the set to complete Chapter 4. It's really just completing it. I originally thought I had to master it and was like, "Wow, this is going to be a pain in the ass" but turns out I just completed it (with failing some objectives) and finished chapter 4 seasons journey.

You have to complete the requirements.

To master yes, to complete the season journey part 4 I think you just need to stay alive. I didn't master the thorns dungeon on my Sader because my damage was too high and ran out of spear enemies but still completed the season journey.

Mastery is completing all the objectives AND killing all enemies in a tight amount of time.

Completion is completing all the objectives.

I don't think I'm going to finish the journey, classes are getting intense. Got the tab, and I'm plenty satisfied with that.

Well, I tested out ArenCordial's suggestion. I finished the set dungeon without dying. However, I did not master two of the requirements and still got the seasonal achievement. I'd say he was right on this on.

So I completed, just not mastered it. Whatever it is, I'll take it since it got me a pet. Now I just need some time and help to power level a bit so i can complete the Slayer chapter. T7 isn't something I can handle just yet.

I'd say I was right on before him!

BTW, you don't "master" an objective, you complete it. Mastering a set dungeon, as sweenish pointed out, is completing all objective AND killing ALL mobs within a set amount of time (typically 4 minutes). It's very hard in general, and damn near impossible on some set dungeons.

However, for Chapter 4 season journey, all you have to do is 1) not die, 2) kill the allotted # of mobs (for MOTE set it was like 200ish mobs?). You can fail all the other objectives and still complete it.

You should have a 6pc set (obviously if you did set dungeon) which should take you to close to TX w/o much issues. You definitely should be able to handle T7 with your set gear.

Sadly, I die a lot when I do grift's just below T7 difficulty. I can do solid damage, but my life disintegrates after a few hits. I don't have a ton of ancient stuff, and in all likelihood don't have proper non-set items to make this a success. Perhaps I need to rework some items to have more success.

Pure set power alone is enough for T6/7 for all seasonal gift sets, I believe. I bet if you post your profile, we can get it figured out pretty quick.

I know my sader was able to essentially go from expert/master to T7 after hitting 70, with just a T2 and T4 pit stop to finish the set.

I'm not as knowledgeable on wizards, but there are some easy fixes to be had.

Topazes as armor gems, they give you Int, and Int gives you all res. Those rubies are doing literally nothing for you.

Roll Vit into helm, probably replacing the skill affix. I think you'll want a new helm at some point that allows you to have crit chance, but I'd wait for someone to confirm that, since maybe a specific skill affix is better. But your current helm could use the Vit on it.

On the ammy, roll the arcane to either a near max CHD or socket, whichever comes first. You'll need a new ammy with +element/main stat, CHC, CHD, and socket. It could even be worth crafting yellows to get that combo for now. Well rolled yellows should never be discounted while initially gearing.

You need to roll CHD onto your gloves. I'd probably replace LoH. Someone else should chime in on that.

Your rings need re-rolls as well. Vit off of the focus, probably to CHD. +damage off of Restraint, again probably to CHD. You want to maintain that 1:10 CHC:CHD ratio. CHD is usually the tougher one to get enough of.

Most of your other pieces of armor that have a +skill need to have that affix re-rolled. Re-roll it either to whatever your main damage dealer is or if it's not available, something useful like %life, armor, CDR, IAS, etc.

I feel like Unwavering Will is a garbage passive. You don't want to be standing still, you need to be dealing damage and avoiding damage. Aquila in the cube is probably not active very much for you, so that would need to be swapped. I just don't know to what off-hand. Maybe a Broken Crown while you work on Topazes? I'm also not sure how I feel about Odynson, either.

You have a decked out follower, if toughness is an issue, a second unity can help with that.

I know you said that you're still getting equipment, so I tried to avoid specific gear piece recommends where I could.

As for that other build, have all the pieces before you try it out. Every single piece synergizes, and if you don't have the right rolls, it will also not be super great.

EDIT: Looking at your skills, it doesn't appear that your proc'ing the full F+R bonus.

And I'm seeing a few FB builds that do use Aquila in the cube. So maybe it doesn't need to go.

It might be worth waiting for someone who knows wizard better than me to chime in before going crazy on re-rolls and whatnot.

for the spec you're playing currently you want either aquila or mantle of channeling in the cube. definitely need a new ammy and probably new bracers. definitely need topazes in all armor slots.

i'd change out the skills you use on your bar as well... definitely want teleport... but i would go with...

Energy Armor - prismatic armor. helps manage damage.
Familiar - Arcanot. helps with arcane power management... keeps you disintegrating longer
Magic Weapon - Conduit. same as above


eventually you'll want a new weapon... but i wouldn't worry about it too much for the time being

Thanks for the help with the setup last night Paul.... I did the GR 60 solo, in two runs. Then read up on a setup for 45 without sets and improvised and made it also in two runs!!! Got my extra stash space. Thanks again:thumbsup:

Thanks to DaTT and silver for the help last night. Boosted some levels, but also help build up a base of keys. Much obliged.

Ended up getting Deathwish as well, so I replaced my dagger with that. Made some other changes as well and started capping out at roughly 710k damage vs 590k before. Now if I could just stay alive.

Out of curiosity, if my follower was unable to die, would that make the Unity combination indefinite?

Unity and the invincible follower doesn't appear to be end game anymore, that was more of a 2.3 pairing, however, it will provide a definite boost in survivability until you get your toughness up.

Apparently a fair number of botters were banned yesterday. Leaderboards got shook up a fair bit.

Their detection isn't perfect, so there are still a lot of botters out there that weren't caught, but this is a good start.
