that is a great point though. its just like a mirror image. where the positive properties of the presidential contender on one side mirror that of the vp on the other.

i think cheney had some good moments. i especially liked his non-response to the homosexuality in reference to his daughter.
i feel like edwards should have had more press before this and he would have stuck on topic. i dont feel like he was avoiding the questions but cheney had a good way of bringing up so many issues in such a short time and edwards was so meandering about his responses that most of his answers were split between questions.

also: the moderator sucked.

Regarding the haliburton quip vs. the fact that Edwards didn't pay 600,000 into medicare:

I would be more offended that someone was stealing money from medicare than some oil company alledgedly enjoying a few benefits.
