Errr, the signal problems came from UEFA's own TV center in Vienna. It affected all stations except the Swiss public station and Al Jazeera.

After the first problems, a German TV station and perhaps others too, switched to the signal of the Swiss cameras. A Germany fan has already made a website because of this, called Thank You, Swiss TV.

UEFA has not released an official statement about what caused the outage, yet.

they replayed that game last night at 9 EST as they always do and it was a flawless feed with no blackout

Apparently there were three power outages/voltage hiccups and UEFA's own backup system failed every time.

The German TV station is considering legal action because the number of viewers could've been affected.
