You are driving B class rwd cars.

I also haven't done any multi-class racing yet, so if I'm missing something (certain class pairings or something) let me know. I chose by putting everyone in the club in a spreadsheet, finding the median driver level, and splitting from there. Hoss was the median and we had an uneven number, but based on the number of people who show from either group, it seemed best to put him in the S class cars. Chose RWD because I don't like AWD/FWD cars. Sorry

oh wow, this should be fun. one thing i've noticed though is that if the class pairings aren't chosen wisely, the fast cars will get ahead of the slow ones quickly, but never actually lap them (depending on the track and number of laps of course), which kind of defeats the purpose of multi class racing.
i'm going to test some S/B multi class to see if that is the case here or not.

I originally planned R3, but I figured most of us lower level guys don't have an R3 car to play with. We could do S/C.

if S/B works lets do it...lets just make sure before hand that we can get some multi class action in the 3-4 lap races...maybe preselect a few shorter courses if necessary? or we can do longer races, whatever works

If you wouldn't mind giving it a go in the next day or so. I'm going to be traveling out of town until Tuesday and don't have any time to really tweak it. If you think I need to make adjustments, I will.

just tried it out

I don't think S vs B will work. even after 6 laps of tsukuba, i was still ~9 seconds behind the last place lower class car.

I think the best thing to do is to look at the multi-class column in event list and pick a pairing from there. I drove a few of those races and always ended up with some fun action in the 2nd half of the race. Added advantage is we'll know how many laps to put rather than having to guess or test it out, as we can simply model the races inside that multi-class event.

Still your call as to which pairing you would choose.

But slow cars below B are just frustrating to drive imo, might as well just go out for a sunday drive in civic or something instead. I'd say you people get some R3 cars or something so we can run A or B level cars. I started the game with the E92 and the DBR9 gifted over from my Forza 3 game. And I think level 38 or 39 or something gets you an R3 car.

I'm already in, I have an extra a near the end of my name. I'd like to, but I tend to get home right at 6 pst, and I've been working a bit of OT the last two weeks and probably next week.

Take some of what I said about below B being dumb, I had some fun in the Mustang at Laguna Seca in the rivals challenge.

If we're short on cars, I can share some R3 cars. I've got a pretty good selection. Most of them just have the default tune since I won them in career mode, but they're solid. I also have the Mosler which is sitting at the top of a lot of the leaderboards, but that car almost feels like you're cheating...

Shared cars can be used in online races, right?

As far as I'm aware, yeah. I'll see if I can get the Risi 430 unlock and try and share that as well perhaps even if I won't be there.

They don't show up in the menu, but if you select the blank space where they are, you can still view them and use them... You just don't know what car you're going to end up with, lol. So, yeah, I guess that's not hugely useful. I'll toss some up anyway, people can experiment with them if they haven't gotten them in career mode yet.

i've noticed it work that way in single player...but last wednesday i was trying to select some blank spots and it would just kick me back to the lobby.
