yeah, famous would choose one guy up a few ms faster than him, and slow himself down at the end to just barely win. rinse and repeat for big cash.

Hah! I kid you not, I did 20+ laps on Hockenheim trying to get a clean/somewhat respectable time on there with an A class german car. That damn AI is just completely retarded sometimes. Brake checks coming OUT of corners are my nemesis.

P.S. I ended up getting a Javelin, and HOLY crap that thing is a monster. I'm in 50th on the leaderboards! and there's still a few tenths to be had on my lap.

I dropped $100+ dollars on a wired wheel. I'm not a worth a crap with it so I went back to the controller and the wheel sits under my desk now.

After playing GT5 with a race seat and Logitech G27 wheel, I am convinced I need to do it properly. The seat is like $400 and the fanatec wheel and pedals is about the same. Meh, too much.

Brother in law and I just went and tested a C5, S2000, and E46 M3. Freaking loved the M3, he's leaning that direction.

I have an E46 M3 - they're great cars. Very practical, comfortable car for its performance level.

Overst33r do you tune your own cars or do you buy the tunes from the storefront? You've got some really good laps times.

I use an app for my ipod touch called Forzatune but I can't get seem to get a tune that can break the low 100s.

Depends, most of the time I'm lazy and I'll download the most popular cheap tune. Usually the online tunes have more power and less weight, but handle worse than my own. But it takes too long to fine tune.

In my experience, the actual tuning of the car pales in importance to the parts selection aka the power to weight ratio.

When I tune a car up, first I add brakes, sway bars, roll cage and weight reduction if I can. Next I add better tires, traction then width. I always try to up my handling. Then I move to HP.

When I work on HP first I always end up with a fast car but crappy handling.

With that Javilin I tuned that car myself and it seemed to hold you off for a day. But then you came back with a much better time. I was just curious to how you tuned it.
