HMM, that's weird. I got called from their automated system (not the store). I promptly called the store to confirm, and they did.

They're having a Tekken/DJ Hero/Forza Launch tonight.

I checked out forzamotorsport.net and apparently a very few select stores are doing the midnight run for FM3/Tekken6/DJ Hero. Doesn't appear to be a corp decision but done locally on a store to store basis.

Suprisingly enough the dude said that there was a good amount of preorders for FM3. I was surprised, might have to pick up a few gamertags of local players.

Got a shipping notice from Amazon last night at 8PM or so and thought "It'll never be here on time...stupid release day delivery!!!" Checked again about 5 minutes ago and it's "Out for Delivery" at 6:45 AM. I'll admit it, I'm impressed with release day delivery thus far.

I also pre-ordered from Amazon.com. Yesterday around 6pm I was getting pretty anxious that it wouldn't ship in time, but also around 8pm I got the "your order has shipped" email.

Still, nothing is assured until you see the "out for delivery" status in the morning which I only just got about an hour ago. Woo hoo!!!

I'm mostly pleased with the release day delivery from Amazon.com - I pre-ordered Halo 3: ODST with release day delivery, but it arrived one day late. Of course, I called to complain and eventually got $25 off for them failing the "guarantee" (well, $20 for the "guarantee" and $5 for the pre-order price-match). Sometimes, it pays to be whiny!

Yeah, they said if they don't get it to you on release day you can call for a shipping refund but I'd want more than that.

Really I'm not too worried about FM3. If they got MW2 to me late though...they'd miss release day AND it woudldn't be delivered on Veterans day, it'd be 2 days late minimum.

I didn't know what the VIP program was when I preordered.

Are the extra cars in the LCE just painted and tuned versions of cars in the regular version?

Yes, but the VIP cars are cars you can't get in the normal version.
