nope been playing a bunch of hotlaps. Just updated my times, kabob has me on a couple of cars, but I have the rest

I finally got off my butt and busted out the wheel. I have the top times now (amongst friends) in the Porsche, Ferrari (by .007!) and Audi. 2nd to Lotheron in the EVO (understeering POS ) and I haven't really driven the Mini in hotlaps yet.

In my defense I've played a grand total of 1 hour or so since release day and most of the cars I didn't put much time into.

I've heard the std 360 wheel works much better with FM3 than it did with FM2. I have not yet broken mine out of storage. anyone care to chime in on their thoughts?

I preferred the wheel in F2 and I can say that I can get almost close to the top leaderboard guys. I'm top 3000 in a few cars so I'm thinking I'm much more competitive now.

I tried it earlier, could not figure out what the clutch control was Fun game otherwise, much more natural feel for drifting on the spot.

I hated to do it but due to finances I had to go cancel my Gamestop FM3 preorder.

Because I just got $26 in Amazon credit (traded in CoD: WaW) and they're offering a $10 gift card with FM3's purchase, financially it made sense . So I just placed a new Amazon pre-order with release day delivery. Saves me a trip to Gamestop and for me Amazon credit is about as good as cash.

Haha, Thanks! I found on a few cars that less gear switching on that track is better.

For example, the Mini, stay in 3rd after the first hairpin all the way until the end. The engine is producing more power going up the hills red lining in third than switching to 4th. I think I stayed in 4th the whole lap for that Ferrari run.

BTW, I updated some more times I think I went ahead of you in all but one that you bested me in.

When I ran the Evo I only used 2 gears for the entire track. I need to go back and play the demo again, my times are getting blasted apparently.

I heard 'the hangar' test area was modeled after the area Ken Block used in the 'Gymkhana" series of videos he did for DC shoes/Subaru Rally. that could be a super cool video to try to reproduce in game.

the test track is a fucking awesome idea. i hope there's a 'full' version where the whole thing (oval plus infield) is accessible for testing a car without having to load different sections, but i won't hold my breath on that.

Been playing the full game for the last couple days now, it's pretty f*ckin sweet. Visually it isn't an incredible update but it's noticeable. The sounds are amazing, you can hear absolutely--turbo/supercharger whine, engine note actually sounds like the real cars and the feel is even better than Forza 2.
