any update on if you can put an aftermarket stereo in these yet?

in a G35 you can install a double din, I am not sure about the 37. I am not into Car audio right now so cant really help you more, but I do see people putting after market boxes in the trunk. Best bet is to go on one of the forums g35driver myg37 and search.

Yeha the G35 is a double din but you need a new dash bracket type deal to make it look clean. Someone on g35driver.com was selling them a few years back for a few hundred $$ but it did look completely stock. I know crutchfield has one but it looks horrible.

*Edit* yeah they are $300 and up on the *-Bay.

Also what brand tires are ya'll running and how's the treadwear?
The orginal Bridgestones were nice but didn't last very long, been running Toyo's for a while and they seem to be holding up better.

Riverside infiniti has a parts site and they also sell to a lot of people on the forum, they might have a decent price on the double din as well.

I got some Conti DWS on my car for long tread life, I had an alignment issue it would seem so still cant comment on tread ware. but its rated at 540 and has a 50k warranty.

You can. Most require getting a new A/C controlling unit, trim piece, etc. if you wish to integrate a new headunit with the OEM dash. You could go with the OEM JDM kits which run $300+ or the cheaper Metra runs.

That's mine with the JDM kit. Perfectly matches up with the stock trim. Kenwood 7140, tweeters molded into the pillars as you can see. Also have 2 10s and my amps in the spare tire well.

I just got it recently. If you tried to eject a CD while it was in park, it hit the stock shift knob so it needed to be replaced. Its not bad at all and feels better than the OEM. Install was a breeze too.. except for trying to get the boot off the plastic trim ring of the OEM one.

Whats the MPG are you getting on the G35 coupe ??
I have a S2000 and a beater for a daily and thinking about getting a G35 coupe cause I've always wanted want.
Problem is what car will be my daily...
I get around 24-25mpg on my S2000.
Been looking 2003-04 coupes for $10000-12000.
Would this be a good buy ?

I get 15-16 around town and 24-26 on the highway w/ cruise control. Good MPG is not a strong point of the VQ

I figure as much.
My problem is I drive 30 miles each way to work.
Used G35 coupes are so cheap now that I'm leaning toward getting one.

My commute is about 35 miles each way.. I probably average around 22mpg.

Ideally you'd want to look at the '05s instead of the '03s and '04s. Interior changes alone would be worth the difference imo.

31 miles each way, commute to school, If I am easy I can easily get 26-28mpg( according to the computer, its been pretty close with tank averages). But I normally get 22 tank average. I bet I could get 26mpg+ Tank average if I hyper mile

On a side note, I just got my timing advanced by 2deg. I already use Premium fuel so why not , I hear its 5-10hp gain. My friend did it for me so it was free. I had my bro in the car so I cant really comment on any improvement until I am by my self WOTing onto the highway.

Problem is used 05 and newer prices are significantly higher.
I don't want to spend more than $12K.
If I end up getting one, it'll be 70/30 driving with the 70% being the S2000.
Heres a pic of the S. (Sorry for posting a pic of a S2000 on a G35 thread)

I got about 17 MPG in my 05 G35 Sedan 6MT. I would top out at 24 MPG on the highway at best.

i went with the G37 because it is $8,000 less than a comparable 335i and scores 93% on consumer reports (vs 72% for BMW)

plus bimmer is everywhere and the shape is getting long in the tooth

the g37 front is very reminiscent of the new maseratis!

get an 06 or later

if you can't afford it don't buy a beat up 03 just to say you own an infiniti, that shit is weak and you'll be sorry you did it.

gotta pay to play.

Stop being a troll.
I never have had a car payment in my life and never will.
Your idea of being able to afford a car is "leasing".

Haha, I actually like Dead Mouse. I want to see him come back a fourth time. Is it bad form to encourage the trolling?

Hey I noticed you are from Miami.
I'm from Orlando.
Craigslist in Miami has much more G35s for sale.
I wouldn't mind buying rebulit title to get newer G35.
