Last time national gas prices were sub $2, oil prices were around $40 a barrel. Still has a way to fall.

I filled up at $2.35 today, a friend told me he saw gas at $2.27, and was pissed because he already had a full tank.

I got gas last Wednesday at $2.78 and couldn't believe it. I have a little less than half a tank left, I hope to run it real low so I can get gas when it gets around $2.50 or less. Some places in the vicinity are less than that but none right around where I am and I'm not driving 10+ miles out of my way just to save 10-15 cents a gallon.

I'll re-iterate what Warren BUffet has said.

He can not tell you where oil will be 1 motnh or 1 year from now but if he had to guess, he stated taht crude will be at $120+ 5 years from now.

Funny... I thought that gas was traditionally lower priced lower around Election Day in order to avoid making it a campaign issue.

So, we basically beat the domestic auto industry into bloody pulp and left them on the side of the road because of an 10 month spike in oil prices? They would have been better served to have had a better mix of vehicles that would have catered to the spike, but it just doesn't seem that the punishment fit the crime.

no because opec is starting to crap their knickers and have called for a meeting about cutting production. itll soon be back to at least 100 I think. 2.77 here in illinois tonight at sam's club, 2.92 everywhere else.

Blame the assh*le hedgefunds that went long oil and shorted financials. If anything good comes out of this is that half of these worthless young, reckless, and overpaid lemmings will be out of business in a year. They were the terrorists and they caused great harm to the world's financial system and pain and hardship for many around the world.
