That, having the Bulletstorm disc, winning a code on Twitter, or (starting Monday) getting a friend token will get you in.

Played a bunch of games last night with PimpJuice and some other friends, yet again we steamrolled the competition. Tons of fun playing Capture the Leader and then we switched it up to TDM. I had one of the so called "greasiest" moments last night on Thrashball. We were pushing them back and back into their spawn and I knew we were about to swap spawns. So I aimed my mortar back to the other spawn's exit and launched, the moment they stepped out of their spawn two of them were instantly killed. I admit, I felt kind of bad about it. But then I didn't...

We were in party chat so I couldn't hear what they were yelling at the end of the game but their mics were going off like crazy. We won that round with 12 reinforcements left.

Haha, they were so frustrated with that random guy stealing all their kills. At least they got revenge as he was on the other team the next game.

those guys were pretty funny, although Shabizzle had no problems taking my kills quite a few times

I'm cool with it though as long as we win.

Yeah, the lines of kill stealing - kill sharing are kinda blurry. If you and I are both shooting at someone and I get the down but you get the kill, that's one thing. If I do all the work and down him and there's none of his teammates around to save him and you run up and shoot him, that's kind of annoying.

Load up Bulletstorm, and in the main menu you will see a new option at the bottom of the list that says something like "Play Gears of War 3 Beta". Click on that and it will load up.

You also have to have the limited edition version of Bulletstorm.

Oh, I also just learned something else that makes sense but I never realized. Every once in a while in game you hear your leader announce "enemy reinforcements." I should have known something was up since they don't announce it every time. Apparently that is the audio cue that the spawned have swapped.

Bwahaha, Pimp and I had a "LOL" moment last night. Playing with a group of 5 of us on Oldtown, I've got the Boomshot and Pimp is next to me with his Retro Lancer. I'm hidden and he's out in the open, we hear an enemy charging up his Torque Bow. Torque Bow guy pops out and Pimp starts shooting him, I'm still hidden. Pimp downs him right as he gets stuck with said Torque bolt and is killed. Two more enemies run out to pick up their fallen comrade and that's when I pop out and shoot my Boomshot. Triple kill!

I seriously didn't mean to use you as bait, it just sorta happened! :awe:

Oh, and on another note I had a somewhat frustrating game last night playing CTL with Queasy and a few others. There were 4 of us in our party so we joined a game with one random guy. Not sure what started it but our two other teammates and he started yelling back and forth and in response the guy essentially decided he wouldn't play with the team any more. He either sat AFK in our spawn or refused to help out, it got old really quickly. Needless to say we lost.

Hey if thats the result, you can use me for bait anytime, that was freaking perfect timing. I was literally about to yell out for someone to finish off my down but held off as I saw he had 2 teammates about to pick him up and as my screen fills up with red, the bottom left of my screen fills up with Kabobs name next to his victims.

See, those are the kind of moments that Call of Duty misses out on with it's super fast paced gameplay. So you killed 3 guys with your grenade? It happened so fast that no one will remember it in 2 minutes. Halo was pretty good in that respect, but that's one of the things I've always loved about Gears. Just so many "oh crap!" moments. The action is just so much more personal.

What's funny is that I never really used the Boomshot in Gears 1, I've just started using it a good bit in Gears 3 and I'm getting decent with it.

Epic updated the beta this morning and gave all the characters big heads, big feet and squeaky voices.

They also added a new playlist called "Player's Choice" which doesn't add a choice per se as much as it rotates through the the three game modes.

Hah, its addictive. I had 7-8 bayonet charge kills that one game out of my 10 kills. I still laugh everytime I pull it off and feel like a fool when it happens to me.

So funny when we all went charging in, lol.

See, those are the kind of moments that Call of Duty misses out on with it's super fast paced gameplay. So you killed 3 guys with your grenade? It happened so fast that no one will remember it in 2 minutes. Halo was pretty good in that respect, but that's one of the things I've always loved about Gears. Just so many "oh crap!" moments. The action is just so much more personal.

What's funny is that I never really used the Boomshot in Gears 1, I've just started using it a good bit in Gears 3 and I'm getting decent with it.

That is one of the reasons I quit playing Call of Duty. It became too repetitive and prestige-ing lost its appeal after the 6th or 7th time. It can still be fun with a group of friends, but teamwork in Gears is much more enjoyable in my opinion.

I love Call of Duty, I just don't much like Black Ops. The only reason I want to play it is because I love the group of guys I play with, highly entertaining. But I'm ready for a change of pace.

I wish the bayonet had a melee stab feature, but that would be too much of an advantage. It would be awesome to melee stab someone with the retro lancer, and then start shooting while the bayonet is in them.

Nope, you can swing it and it has decent range and good damage, no stab though. I was surprised by how short range some of your bayonet charges were and they still registered as insta kills. Mine seem to need forever to charge up.
