I dunno, I'm starting to wonder what kind of hardware all of these preview videos are running on, cause the ones I saw on Gametrailers were actual gameplay footage, direct feed.
I'm still waiting for this game big time, around here the gamestops aren't going to have them until tomorrow

http://www.dailygame.net/news/archives/006085.phpYet if there's one part of Gears of War that's sufficient for everyone, it's the graphics. This is what next-gen gaming should look like. If you've recently purchased an HDTV and want to show it off to friends, Gears of War is the game you'll use to do so. If you read our hands-on preview of Rainbow Six Vegas, you'll recall we were pumped about that game's graphics. Then we played Gears of War. Quite literally, when we went back to Rainbow Six Vegas we thought we were playing an Xbox game. Gears of War has such amazing textures, architecture and environmental detail that certain small aspects are almost photorealistic. That's a phrase DailyGame has never before used when describing a game. In split-screen co-op there are some instances of clipping, and the constantly gray environments can make it tough to track gray enemies at times, but aside from those snafus, you will not see a better-looking game this year.
http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/...;action;1&om_act=convert&click=topslotConsider Gears of War to be the game that raised the bar for how console games should look from here on out. The character models are thick and look outstanding. The gray, war-torn environments are nicely varied throughout the game, and the game is full of amazing standout visual moments, such as a train sequence where you see that the sky is full of ink left behind by flying Locust enemies, blocking your view of the stars just enough to prevent you from busting out the Hammer of Dawn. Or, when you get to an underground mine and see a lot of molten, glowing lava all around you. Or, anytime you get to use the chainsaw on anything, ever. Or, the way the camera gets down low and starts shaking like a wartime documentary whenever you start running. It all looks absolutely amazing, from the animation to the game's over-the-top blood effects.
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/744/744356p1.htmlVisually, Gears of War is the finest looking game on the Xbox 360. The environments are huge and diverse, and all beautiful. There is a tremendous attention to detail that some gamers will never even see, like gargoyle statues on the top of a skyscraper. No structure looks the same, there are no repetitive environments, no cheap double-backing. As in Half Life 2, when you fight in a city, you feel like you are fighting in a city. The art design is wonderful, with awe-inspiring architecture, inspired by the ancient Greeks and Romans, that make you feel as if you are fighting for something important. This is a game you need to see to believe, and it even looks great on a standard-definition set.
http://reviews.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/1247/Gears-of-War/p3/If you're a graphics whore, you absolutely, positively need to pick this game up. To say that Gears of War features "next-gen graphics is a gross understatement. It's got the most impressive graphics ever seen in a video game, and the stellar art direction only makes it more beautiful. Characters move smoothly and realistically, and we're huge fans of the "roadie run," in which your character will run low to the ground while the camera bounces behind him. There are a few framerate and texture pop-in issues here and there, but you'll be so busy admiring the gorgeous environments that you won't even notice. This is one hell of a great looking game, and we're already excited to see what else the new Unreal Engine is capable of producing.

Where did you find it? It appears that in many areas it won't be in stores until tomorrow.

I got one at an EB Games in Alpharetta, GA on my way to vote (priorities man, priorities). Unfortunately, as I said in the Official 360 thread, I'm going to have to wait until my kids go to bed so that I can play it in all of it's HD goodne....scratch that....SDTV goodness because my HDTV is broke! (repair man coming tomorrow...hopefully, he'll have the part to fix it).
