umm, yea, since given there are bunnies and green pastures in the real world. think about some of the worst real life scary things, they didn't happen in the dark, which makes em scarier.

its a damn fun game.. one of the roomies got it and we've been playin it. great game
and yea, i too am stuck with SDTV, sad and lonely 480i
its a beautiful engine (UE3) but it requires HD resolutions.. looking forward to UT2007 on PC, at least I'll have 800p (1280x800)

Picked up my collector's edition at EB. They were only giving them out to pre-orders, as an older lady came in asking for one, and they told her to come back tomorrow. The collector's edition is a sight to behold, and while I hate paying $70 for a game, this is pretty damn cool. Comes in a nice tin with a small story book that looks very nice and an extra DVD for extra content.

From what I've played so far (which isn't much), the graphics live up to the hype on my 52", 1080i set. Looks gorgeous. However, I still have to get used to the gameplay, as I can't recall a type of game like this one. It's a cross between Ghost Recon and Halo, which I haven't figured out if it's a good thing or not.

It might actually give it some color. Watching the trailers, this game just looks bland.

Did you read the reviews? Pretty much every single one says it's the best 360 game, and you "aren't really feelin it?" This is what you paid $400 for a 360 for man

Read some excerpts. I am not much for reviews, honestly. I was just commenting on the lack of color in it, but I guess I can really expect flowers and horses, can I?

Should I go get it? I have a $45 store credit from my Game Cube trade in.

its WAR... war isn't colorful, specially when everything has been thoroughly destroyed. there's enough color to vary it up, buts it looks like a war zone. Killzone had the same color palette, and I loved it. i love the look of the game.

Picked it up on the way home just on hype/reviews. EB games had boxes of this game out. "did you have this on pre-order?" nope, just want the game thanks.

yeah, it rocks. A must buy. The sound is incredible.

Does the regular edition case come inside the tin case or is the DVD in sleeves?

HOLY JESUS CHRIST!! Just reached a point in the game that was probably one of the most amazing I've seen in a videogame. It's still towards the beginning, and so as not to give spoilers, it's right before you meet the "beserker". The sound was amazing, the graphics were uncannily real, the whole cutscene was OUTSTANDING. Get yourself a surround sound system if you don't have one, you'll fvcking need it. I literally had my mouth dropped open when you're watching the shadows on the wall.

I had to take a break after that, it literally took my breath away.

Just completed Act 1. Amazing sound and graphics so far. Pretty damn fun as well.

Well, called to see if they had any left in stock, and they to said they are getting it tommorow. I cant deny it anymore, apparently this game rocks. Will pick it up after school tommorow, or just ditch and go get it.

Will have to hook it up to my HDTV for this one. Unfortunately, I dont have a 20 ft. long optical cord, and wont have digital sound. Damn projectors.

i absolutely do not mean any offense, but personally, aside from the graphics (unreal engine 3 im guessing), it looks like another 1st/3rd person fps with co-op thrown in.

i guess a reason i think that way is because ive never really read previews/reviews on it. i thought it would just be another xbox360 game.

In the grand scheme of things, it is just another 1st/3rd person fps with co-op. It's got a little bit different flavor to it, though, and the presentation is unlike anything else out there right now as far as I can see.

Plus, you gotta love new franchises in this day and age of sequelitis.

yeah...it does (it is) look promising.

jpeyton - didnt have a chance to. probably will during thanksgiving when i have my lan with all my friends and one of them is a huge xbox360 gamer (he got gears today) and brings his 360 basically everytime he comes over.

just read 2 reviews and a couple of previews on it. looks very nice and apparently the sound is damn amazing! looks to be the best xbox360 game of the year with probably halo 3 being next years (hopefully) game of the year.

Not to quote myself, but unfortunately, after picking it back up after this part, it gets a little frustrating. For the first time, the controls get in the way a bit, and I've had to try the same part 3 or 4 times. After that, I say to hell with it, I'm going to bed .
