well, what ratio do you get when it's auto?
according to the BIOS...the divider is set to 3:4 when i choose auto...the BIOS tells you what your memory speed will be when you select a divider (in other words, the BIOS does the math for you)...so no matter what FSB im at, its gonna have a 3:4 ratio applied to it.
according to the manual, im supposed to have 3 options with a 400FSB P4:
1:1, 3:4 and auto.
i only have the 1st and last option in my case. ive already emailed gigabyte tech support about this so hopefully ill get a reply back from them soon...

If you mean you want to run your RAM at 400MHz(PC3200), you can't. It's a chipset limitation.
i think you understood the question incorrectly...the P4 bus is quad pumped...which means you multiply 4 by the FSB. when i said synchronus, i meant the value of the FSB before it is quad pumped. so...100FSB (which is actaully 400mhz quad pumped) with 1:1 ratio is ddr200 (cuz for the memory...its 100mhz x 2 since its ddr).
btw...this chipset does support ddr400 operation so you were actually wrong and right at the same time.
