Hmm. Any tips on correctly getting a bluetooth headset to work with GT5/PS3?

Its synced and should be working, but when i play online the voice comes through the TV and my voice isn't transmitted. What should i try AT?

I'm about to blow a gasket. Got it last night a fired it up this morning. Installed the update, tried installing it to the HD but gave up after 20 minutes of the progress bar not moving.

Now into the game. First screen, loops for several minutes and pops up "A connection to the server could not be established." Click on the GT Home and another several minutes, same pop-up. From the time I turn it on to the time I can even select a race is going on 15 minutes. My network is fine. It's connected and sees the internet. Ideas before I go crazy?

I try and go to "community" and it says I am not online. My PS3 says otherwise. The network section in the game is empty except for cache and ToS.

also unplug from the network if you just want to play single player. supposedly server overload was causing timeouts, and people weren't able to get into single player because of some link between single player & the network

Have you gone in the options of your headset in the menu to make sure the audio is set to go through the headset? It should say audio is going through your headset.

well there are many reason, for one i dont have a stand or table to mount it to, then again i think im so used to the controller im better with it (with the 360 controller anyway).

Boom, I was having issues with it and got it resolved:

Do you have a statically assigned IP address? For whatever reason GT5 wouldn't work with me having it statically assigned (even though I was on PSN).

I reset my network settings, set it to DHCP, let it automatically configure everything, and GT5 worked like a charm.

Anyone have any tips for B-Spec? I'm getting really frustrated with how crappy they drive. Even when I give him a fricken Veyron with WAY more power than the other cars he can't pass them to save his life. I've tried keeping him in the middle, letting him go to the red, telling him to pass, nothing seems to matter. Does the level really need to be up? I mean my best drivers is only lvl 10, but he doesn't seem to be any better than my other lvl 5 driver.

My PS3 IP is statically assigned through my router and I have no issues.

That's the way I have mine. Static set via my router.

I noticed when I gave my driver the chrome edition M3.. he could not handle that thing to save his life. Although he's only like level 4.

When they start going into the red, that's when they crash. Always try to keep your driver from being as hot as possible. Buy racing tires, don't need the slicks, will help them a lot. You have to take it very slow. Rarely should you up the tempo cus that's when they get hot and start to crash. With the Veyron, just keep up with them from behind and take them in the straights if possible as that's the safest way to do it. It took me a while to learn it but I learned that keeping them as cool as possible is the way to win. As you learned, having the fastest car doesn't mean anything as they mess up too much. Patience is needed in B-Spec mode. Granted, I'm only lvl 4 right now but I had an other driver that got hot very easy so I dumped him for a driver that is cooler and it makes it easier to drive.

Went and double checked all my settings, NAT is Type 2 open, and still cannot connect to the servers. This is ridiculous.

Yeah, I just went through and redid them. Ran the network test and everything came back fine with the NAT Type 2. PSN Network was good, internet connection good. Other games work fine, just GT5 being a bitch.

That's odd. GT5 had some server issues the first 4 days of launch, but they've since fixed that with the patch on the 29th and server-side patches. I've not had a single issue since then.

The install actually takes around 50 minutes to an hour. Yeah, the estimated time remaining is completely fucked, so pay no attention to it. It will appear to be stuck for long periods of time, but as long as the hard drive light on the front of your PS3 is still on or blinking, then just be patient with it.

I'd suggest possibly clearing every single bit of the GT5 data that was installed and restarting over completely. Might be getting issues from quitting the install too early.

Install only took me 34 minutes 44 seconds, YMMV.

Middle is about right.

Stick him in a powerful car - he will need a large advantage coz he sucks
At the start tell him to slow down to keep him from getting too worked up
Keep telling him to slow down. The horsepower advantage should let him pass if he gets good drive onto a straight.
You can allow him to get a bit hotter when right up someones ass. It should get them worked up a bit too and they may make a mistake.
He will brake in annoying places, and the AI will out brake him into some of the corners. Get used to it
Once at the front tell him to speed up, or else his lap times will tumble. I used a Murcielago against things like Civic Rs and hot hatches. When B-spec was out in front, with no input he only managed the same lap times as the Civic, despite 4 wheel drive and 700 BHP.

No Gran Turismo has never had Porsche and doesn't seem like they ever will. Licensing problems it always seem to be. People say RUF is the same thing but it's not. They are highly modified Porsche vehicles.

Got a chance to play it in 3D yesterday. Looked absolutely spectacular.

There was clearly a slowdown in the framerate to 30ish at times, and probably even a reduction in resolution, but it added so much to the experience that I wouldnt want to play in 2D mode ever again.

I also thought it was quite a bit easier and more natural to play, but thats to be expected. Basically we've all gotten used to driving with one eye shut, but having actual depth perception just made the entire experience that much better.

I may actually have to buy this now.
