Sony has confirmed to retailers via its official Indian distributor that Gran Turismo 5 is confirmed for a November 24 release, and since India is part of the SCEE territory, chances are that this is also the date for Europe and the Middle East. Bangalore-based retailer GameZen received the release confirmation from Milestone Interactive (the distributor) and posted the information in the vendors’ section of the IVG forums. They have since been contacted by Milestone and directed to hold off on taking orders

I think the single day sales record is around $400 million. at $60 a pop, thats what 6.7M copies? I think blackops just did that if I recall the blurb on the ticker on this mornings news. I know GTAIV had that spot for a while.

GT5 will be a great game but it won't be close to any sales records. I am sure it will do VERY well, but nothing groundbreaking.

I have to disagree on this. This is the first Gran Turismo with multiplayer. PS3 user base is smaller than PS2 but this game is way more realistic then the previous versions. I am guessing that 5 million copies will sell at full price or near full price but the game will go on to sell over 10 million copies.

Indianvideogamer is a premier vg site like the IGNs and gamespots of the US. But I guess a "frog in the well" like you would not know that. You probably still think they ride elephants and water buffaloes to work too, right?

I don't. I know they're different games. I just won't have time for another game after I get GT5.. so no point in buying NSF:HP at a premium right now.
