I'm still kind of waiting for some kind of WHAM big reveal (even though I'm aware that there probably will not be one). I mean all these years of development have to amount to something super-spectacular, beyond what's already been shown.

I actually just want a book on this whole thing. I want to know what PS has been up to all these years. That including all the dirty, sleazy things done behind closed doors.

Who knows, perhaps GT6 Prologue will be available during the load screens!

I would have bought it if there were half the number of cars and I don't care that much that Porsche isn't in the game. Yeah it'd be nice, but even in games that I do have Porsche's to drive (most recently Forza III) I never find myself buying them unless absolutely required. It's not that I don't like them I just preferred the other options I maybe already owned instead of having to buy another car.

Is pre-order required or you think there will be games on the shelf?

You'll find it on shelfs when it comes out. But you might as well preorder it if you plan to get it just to get whatever bonus car you can get with preordering only.

Keep in mind that if you don't get it on Wednesday.. you're going to have to fight the Black Friday shoppers.

Its addicting. I have a Wheelstand Pro for my G27.. but now I'm thinking of building something to go with the spare seat I have (I replaced my stock seat with a bucket seat not too long ago).

Wheel Stand Pro a stable enough setup for you?

I'd love an actual race-seat setup, but 1) cannot afford that at the moment, 2) storage space is extremely limited.
Something that can fold up yet is stable and practical, well... that would make me happy.

I use my G25 on both my PC and PS3 (when GT5 comes out, at least - all my other racing games are on PC, and I haven't played GT5P in awhile), so easy transport between the two would be nice.

GT academy is coming to USA and they're making a reality TV show out of the competition. Time to whip out the G25...

Woooooo.. Can't wait!

Its been pretty stable. Just make sure everything is tight. I also have it on a non-slip mat which helps quite a bit. The only thing that bugs me is the pole.. but that seems normal on most wheel stands (even Playseats and the like) unless I went with a custom set up. Being able to adjust the pedals on the G27 helps though.

Damnit, I wish Logitech would say "G29 soon!" so I could debate buying a G27...

I've never even heard of a G29 coming out.. any links?

Ugg still a week left. This last week is going to feel like forever even compared to how long we've already waited.

I personally have the RennSport Wheel Stand sold over at fanatec.com. It's very high quality, this thing isn't breaking anytime soon. If it has one fault, it's probably that it's a little too heavy, but it's solid as a rock and I like it.

It's all blind speculation from my part and others...I just feel the moment I pick up the G27 they'll announce they're releasing the G29 sometime soon.

I bought the G25 and a month later announced the G27, with new gearing system.

Still would rather have gotten a wheel with belts instead of gears - I feel gears must get worn over time, fear how long they'll actually last (unless it's at least a handul of years, then I'd feel happy).

I'm going to get is just as an excuse to use my DrivingForce GT wheel. Codemasters' racing games aren't compatible with it so I was stuck playing Prologue.

I heard they held up shipping earlier in November due to updating securom or something...I haven't updated my PS3 firmware in ages, does anybody know if I'll have to do so to play GT5? --- and no, I wont be playing online, so I am guessing no need to update then?

if you HAVE to update the firmware to play GT5, it will be included on the game disc and it will prompt you to update it and guide you through it. no need to connect online to do so.

last game i remember that did this was the first Ratchet and Clank game that came out on ps3.
