I'm looking to add active AT gamertags to my list who are going play Halo 3. So far I really only have two players that are on frequently(chrisg and obscurecaucasian). I'm not sure I want to add all 60 people from the Xbox Live thread, so who plays online often?

I watched that one before the first museum ad...was wondering what the hell the still plastic figures were about. God I really want to play this game. Now damnit!

The promotions and the ads are becoming a perfect storm for the game out in 1 week.

I heard somewhere that you would not be able to play ranked gametypes with your friends, only unranked ones. Is this true? If thats the case it totally sucks, no more double team with someone you actually know. The great thing about Halo 2 was that you could play with a variety of different leveled players in the same party, say a 5, 12, and 18 leveled players could all join a ranked matchmaking playlist and play. People would only occasionally play unranked gametypes, usually when guests were over. This would completly kill matchmaking if they made it so.

i hope that's not true and I haven't heard anything about it.
i'm sure it'll be identical to halo 2, where you can't play ranked gametypes with guests on your xbox live account.
so if you have someone over at your house who is a guest and you guys are playing split screen, you cannot play ranked games that way.
it's goign to be the same way as Halo 2 as far as I know. I'm sure they won't change it for the worse. gears of war ruined their ranked gameplay when they made it impossible to get into a game w/your friend. I really REALLY doubt bungie would do this.

Is it just me or did you hate GOW multi? It's just a rush for the weapons...you can't do any damage at all with the starting gun...and no grenades. Just felt it was pretty flawed...couldn't ever get into it.
They have a MP called Annex that lets you respawn now. The shotty thing is the Host powers bug, and it does get annoying. Unless you weren't getting a perfect active reload first, that would be the other reason.Originally posted by: R Nilla
GOW was the first, and for a while the only, game I had for my 360, and I never got into the multiplayer. It seemed far too random, and since it's a 'die and wait until the next round' only type of game, I never had the patience to try to adapt. I would shoot someone in the face point blank with the shotgun, only to be shot right back with the same weapon and explode into gibs. I love Gears of War, but I never found the multiplayer to be enjoyable.
Oddly enough, I'm really enjoying the 'Search and Destroy' mode of the COD4 Beta (essentially just like Counter-Strike).

Yeah, by the time I get my 360 back from service, 2 weeks+ and 2 calls now, and still no shipping box, I'll be so far behind the curve, I'll be able to time my survival with a stop watch.Originally posted by: R Nilla

That's right, I forgot about that. I haven't tried it out but I doubt I will, especially with Halo 3 on the horizon .

I appreciate the advice, but it isn't my style, that's all. I've been putting off getting my ass kicked in some Resistance MP, so I'm going to give that scene a go.Originally posted by: RagingBITCH
Not that it's right, but you could always "borrow" an XBox and return it before your 30 days is up. Again, not condoning or saying it's right, but my moral lines and ethics may be ignored if somehow my 360 dies around the time Halo 3 comes out.
