sorry but a hardcore MW2 player complaining about camping in a Halo game makes me lol a tad
What blows my mind is that after 9 whole years doing Halo games, Bungie STILL cannot write proper team AI to save their lives.
What blows my mind is after nine years people still take Halo campaign mode seriously. I don't care what the reviews say; the campaign in Reach is amongst the worst I've played in recent years and feels like a graphical face-lift of Halo 2. It's repetitive, moronic, the AI is wretched, the enemy tactics never change, and the maps feel like a battle at the local mall or miniature golf course. Zero back story - the Covenant are bad guys - shoot them.
The worst thing is that enemy units in the campaign move entirely different than human players. Covenant units move in quick spurts, sprints and right angles that don't reflect the motion of regular players, so it screws up your timing when you go against human opponents. I simply don't get how the Campaign gets all this hype compared to well polished games like GoW, or even BioShock. Multiplayer vs is superb and makes up for this, but people who rave about the campaign obviously don't play other games or are in 7th grade.
For you achievement lovers, download this file and you'll get the 1 mil Firefight points in under 15 mins...took me around 13 to complete.

Saw your invites last night, a buddy and I were playing Firefight though. Hopefully we can party up with you guys and run some more Slayer this week.
What is it and is it legit? If it's some custom thing, I'd be a little wary using whatever it is. (Can't access site from work)
So, I spent over an hour last night trying to get the "assassinate an elite from a jump that would have killed you" achievement...this has got to be the most frusterating achievement ever. I could get the assassination, but no achievement.
Absolute BS.
Then I decided to try it just oooooone more time before work. After all that pain I got it on my first try...stupid achievement...
Did you try the achievement on the later level where you jump off the cliff? I was watching a video of this online and they mentioned that you should make sure to disable your sprint loadout prior to assassinating the elite as the kill must be from a free fall state.
First, look at the website. It's from Bungie.net. It's a custom firefight setup, click the link and it downloads from bungie.net's File Share to your console. Completely 100% legit. It's just like downloading your buddy's video from his fileshare or whatever.
Doesn't mean it is 100% legit, there was stuff shared in the past on Halo 3 that ended up getting people banned.
As for the Elite assassination achievement, I'm also having it bug out on me every time. I've done the assassination attempt so many times it's kinda sad, and all three kinds too. The stomp on his head, the cut his throat with a knife, I even had one where I somehow grabbed its leg but no achievement. Did you do something different with the attempt that got you the achievement?
Deja Vu. We won a CTF match the other night on hemorrhage where several members of the other team were screaming at us about camping and other pathetic whining during the game and afterwards in the lobby. They were pretty ticked, and being competitive players we don't like being accused of playing cheap and argued back afterwards.
At most we had one guy rotating out dedicated to defense while the rest of the team was out causing trouble. This isn't the NBA with a 3-second rule. Like most players who complain after losing a CTF, it's mostly because they lack team skills. Unlike earlier Halo versions where you would get a one flag lead and then park your entire team in red base with shotties and then ride out the clock Reach is far more balanced. Team work more than ever trumps brute force tactics or having one or two sniper-gods. In that respect Reach has evolved in the right direction
