Peritus, you were blurredvision right? I remember playing rocket race with you in Halo 3
It seems like nobody uses mics in this game anymore
Yep, that's me. Changed from blurredvision to peritus almost a couple of years ago now. I absolutely LOVED rocket race, and I wasn't too shabby at driving either. It's so hectic and hilarious, especially when you're playing with people you know. Watching one of your friends just barely beat you to a marker induces rage and laughter at the same time.
Pimp, are you still on my friends list? I purged it long ago after it got up to like 75 people, of which 65 I never played with or even knew. I only kept the people I immediately recognized from the forum, like purbeast and blackflag. I've just quit my year-long obsession with WoW (for good), so I'm back to console gaming a lot and could use a larger friends list again.
will be on alot tonight grinding multiteam for kills.

Nobody uses mics because there is really no incentive to win anymore. In the previous Halos winning and lose impacted your rank. Without a system such as that, people only care about how well they do and not the team itself. Arena is plagued with "betrayers" and extremely selfish people, not to mention quitters galore. They really need to rethink this ranking system or Black Ops will kill the player base. I think Halo 3 still has more players online than Reach now.
Whatever there new "penalties" are for betraying and quitting it isn't doing anything to deter. Its as frequent or moreso than Halo 3. They need to tighten that up. Make the punishment for severe. Start docking credits and busting down ranks
Gah, I get torn up in sniper attack, but that's probably because I'm terrible with the sniper rifle.
I keep getting to 18k points, yet I can't pass that barrier (yet).
ahh. i remeber the blurredvision name
i purge prolly every 3 months.. the list get out of controll.
I too remember a blurredvision. What's with the rename?
The betrayals in Arena are complete BS. If I get the rockets and someone on the other team wounds me, my teammate will finish me off and pick them up. There is no real incentive to win, so nobody plays as a team. I can't stand the lack of teamplay in a team game. They have effectively cut down all the boosters and cheaters by making the game worthless to play.
They need to bring back the H2 ranking system for ranked games. They can easily tweak it to make it much better. This new system is beyond broken.
I haven't played arena at all....now I'm glad i havent.
Well, I guess I was 28 when I changed it a couple years ago. I had been using "blurredvision" as my internet handle since I was 18 and I guess I felt like I wanted a change after 10 years. In hindsight, I probably should've just stuck with it, but this "new" one has grown on me I guess. I still go by my old name on GAF and PSN, though.
I actually considered recently on switching back, but I'm not going to request another name change on here. Plus, Microsoft won't release canceled gamertags from the graveyard, so I'd have to come up with a number to stick on the end of it for Live.
i think i had joph for like 15 years now and ever site i sign up for now its taken. grr.
if your going to play with randoms dont play arena.. ive never had an issue in arena with people from here or avs.
I've found the opposite to be true. Most of the time if I'm like "OSHIT MY BAD" i'm never kicked.
He should have his mic on anyways since it is a team game.
I usually rock a mic if I'm playing with friends and such, but I usually can't stand most dicks in random matches. Thank god for team parties or should I say...thank XBL.
There is a setting in options that lets you set voice to "teammates and parties only". I have it turned on and now I don't have to listen to the other team at all and I don't have to be in a party to do it. If someone on MY team is obnoxious, I can just mute them. In previous Halos, you had to create a party and send invites to randoms every game if you didn't have a full party.

See that one of the things I look forward to with the proximity mic where you can hear the other players....I love talking shit to them especially when I pwn a camper or some other douchy player.
Lots of fun last night. I'm still laughing at how those guys kept jetpacking up to you over and over on Asylum(?).

I wanted to join you guys, but I just got on long enough to complete the firefight challenges. Had to get to bed for work. Work ruins everything.
