heh it's not the built in auto aim and cursor turning red when over the person ... i know exactly what that is and it's been in halo since day 1 heh.

hmm looks like you need to have bungie pro just to watch it??? wtf....

I set it to download next time i get in the game, will watch it then. fun playing with you guys, I still really need to get used to the feel of the game.

Yeah that Bungie Pro business is pretty lame. Still though I had fun but, man, I need to just play more. I was doing really good for a while then we started playing better people and well... yeah.

I haven't had fun like that in an online shooter in a while. That was also the first time I've played in a group since I've owned my 360 (which I've had since day 1). Much much better than being a lone wolf. Sad, isn't it?

Yeah that was fun last night guys. I always like playing with people I know rather than randoms. I think I'm going to try some Firefight matchmaking tonight since that seems to be where the daily challenges are.

What would be the point of jet packing in a fire fight? It is far slower movement wise than jumping and you aren't very nimble in the air. Sounds like you just make yourself a sitting duck to me. Hologram is far more useful to me.

overall we didnt do bad untill we played that group of guys twice (ithink) that were clearly outranked us. i dont know how we got matched up to them


big team battle seems to have some connection issues right now..

The past two days I've had over 1600 Team Arena and Doubles Arena rating. I've played a good amount of matchmaking. The jetpack is very situational on its usefulness and anyone with a DMR will just pick you off from afar. In doubles it is always Slayer DMR or Slayer Pro, so you're getting hit long range no matter what. The same goes for Team Arena as well IIRC. It might do good against the guests and randoms in Team Slayer, but in competition, it is lacking.



Oh and quitting to many games will get you banned from Matchmaking for 10 minutes. I don't know the specific number, but a few times I've had to quit to run out the door pretty quickly.

I'm still trying to get use to the new BR, I think I'm shooting too fast, especially when it take down the other guy's shields, but then I get whacked by another guy who is shooting fast too ate range and he doesn't miss a shot. Alien rifle is definitely more stable but not as strong.

The DMR is very headshot dependent. You can shield someone in like 3 shots, but it could take another 4-5 to kill them if you don't get that headshot.

Oh, I know about the headshot, almost all weapons are one-shot headshots (pistol, DMR, alien rifle). I just need to adjust to the new circle accuracy thing they have now. If you shoot too fast, the circle gets bigger, when you shoot, the bullet goes in a random location inside the circle. I usually have the head centered on the target but if I shoot too fast, it will miss even if it's centered.

yep and its tough because every weapon has its own shooting cadence to get used to in order to fire accurately.

i gotta say that i hate sniper matches...

solely because i am so terrible at sniping and do extremely bad in them.

I agree, the sniper seems to have changed somewhat and I'm a lot worse than I was in H3.

The first time Joph and I played SWAT, I felt the same thing. I died brutally... and fast... and a lot. I haven't tired any sniper matches but I'm not expecting much better.

campaign on legendary is still the best way to become proficient with the weapons imo.
