$10 for 3 maps is a joke, and I am a Halo fan.
However, if they limit the playlists and force you to get the new maps, I will be mad.

This!! That is one of the absolutely most annoying things about Halo 3, if you don't keep up with the map packs you get greatly limited playlists. They need to do it like MW2 and make everything available for everyone, but people with the map pack play against others with the map pack, those without play against those without.
maps already? that was quick.... they need to add a custom game search so people can play the random custon games.

Wasn't it like that in Halo 3 as well? Eventually, they will make the map pack free. I think this happens after the next one is released. However, if they limit the playlists and force you to get the new maps, I will be mad.

One gimme 4K cR challenge today, three relatively easy MP challenges worth alot less:
Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 400 enemies in any game mode (4000)
No "I" in Team - Get 6 assists in one game on Matchmaking (360)
A Great Friend - Get 15 assists in MM (900)
Up Close and Personal - Get 5 CQB kills in a MM game (250)

I'll be working on that 4000cR challenge today. I don't know about the 6 assists in one game though. Assists seem to be harder to get than what I remember in Halo 3.

Ha, that's the one where the kid was saying he was going to follow me the whole game, he wouldn't stop talking.
Use the "1M points in 10 mins" custom FF game and it takes no time at all for those 400 kills.
As for the 6 assists, it shouldn't be too terribly hard. Play a game like Multiteam where there's tons of killing and a high score/person limit going on and I'd think you should be able to knock it out.

Bungie stated in the most recent weekly update that you can play in the same playlists without the map pack. There will be different baskets for consoles with and without the map packs so you'll only get the option to play on a map from the pack if you have it downloaded.
Also, I learned something today I didn't realize: the Needle Rifle is rapid fire! I thought it was semi-auto and you had to pull the trigger every shot, if you hold it down it starts shooting slowly and then speeds up, pretty slick.
