I'm starting Chapter 3 in a minute. I love it so far. Thanks for not spoiling anything, guys. The 5th book was spoiled, someone in my class shouted who died (dies).

Anyone else try the jelly beans? They are really serious about those flavors...vomit tastes EXACTLY like vomit omg...and Im sure earthworm was quite accurate as well.

Rotten egg was by far the worst...no one could finish a single one of them without gagging and nearly puking.

Got it at 1:45. I'm pissed.

I arrived at 9 PM for the last book and I was the first 250 (not preorder) and I got it within 15 min. Plus they did it in a really organized fashion with double lines. Out of BN at 12:15.

This time we were #37 (not preorder), and they were SO SLOW with the friggn preorders. Idiots. Out of BN at 1:50.

Ate a little with friends and then drove back home. No one on highways at 3 AM =). Anyways, fell asleep right away... will start reading tonight. I need to read about DFI boards first =P

WTF with amazon. i paid 4 bucks extra for today delivery. gf made me stay at home wait whole day. and iys 7pm ET now and its still not here. i called UPS and they blame USPS? WTF i asked them i have a UPS tracking number
they were like yeah but its being delivered by USPS

no more amazon for books. stupid!

well... instead of being silly like you kids, I went out last night drinking, partying, taking pictures of some chick that pass out in the bathroom and decided to fall asleep in the tub there, and having a good time instead of waiting around in line and surrounded but geeky little ankle biters.

Well, stopped by B&N today at 4pm, they had like 400 copies of the book all sitting out front, this is after last night and after most of today had passed. I didn't go looking around town and this was the first place I stopped at. Picked it up and got some "free" gifts with the book too.

Got one of those rubberized wrist bracelets that people wear. It's green and only says today's date, July 16th 2005. I also got these fake black harry potter glasses. These things are totally cheesey geek crap. I kinda like the wrist bracelet though since it's like the Armstrong, Live Strong yellow bracelets. Except, I hate wearing yellow PERIOD, and I like green. Still, doubt I'll wear it.

I have yet to even crack the book open yet and might not tonight at all. It's 8 pm already and thinking of making plans to go out, spend more money, get drunk some more, and try to pick up chicks!!! Eat that Harry Potter!


(BTW I am a fan of the series and love the books, but like star wars, there is a definate line between fan and fanatical and I don't cross over that line ever)

Probably the best book i have ever read. Certainly is, heart wrenching though... kind of ironic in a sense. I am really at a loss for words other than those...

i have to retract. UPS website never showed activity because of their agreement with USPS that postal service will deliver.

so here's what happened to me. i expect book here today, I go drive gf to work and come back to wait for book, while we left we had a note on front door of apt building telling them to leave with the super while we were out. i come back and i removed the sticker and went to UPS to track, no delivery so i assumed they didnt come yet. waited till 7pm gf came home and still no book. she was pissed. so we went to B&N to buy a copy and had dinner. came back and no UPS attempt note or nothing, we saw super and asked him if he had received anything. he said nothing but his wife said yes. so she brings it out and there it is. the book was delivered during that 1 hour trip i went out and i always thought UPS site would be updated if it was delivered. obviously today it wasn't.

so now my gf has 2 copies and wasted about 8 hours getting pissed at UPS/Amazon and (for some reason) me.

Picked mine up at Costco this morning. Finished reading it around 8. I just got back from working out to realize all I read. That was an unexpected ending. I didn't expect to finish it in a day, I think OotP took a lot longer for me to get through. Even though a lot isn't learned in this book, I can wait for book 7 now.

There was a member named : Nef. He spammed with messages such as "hi." etc. He was banned and later "Spamming" was in turn deemed with a newer name, Neffing.

A "nef" is a spammer. "Neffing" is the act of spamming.

I am kinda disappointed with the book, the ending was pretty fvcked up, and somehow i got the feeling that the author was dragging the book a bit, Harry doesn't have any great adventures and too little time was given to his relationship or the lack of it.. oh well.
