Yea you'll get the subsidized pricing. You'll just have to pay the difference if they are different prices.

They told me there were no restocking fees

I had to pay a restocking fee with verizon last year, it was 15% of the subsidized price.

You only still get a subsidized price from Verizon if you return the previous phone within 14-days. The return policy for phones from Verizon is actually 30-days, but the policy for retaining your upgrade is 14.

Ya, if you return a phone that's not defective they are obligated to ding you for $35, but when you get home call customer service and they may give you a credit on your bill.

Worked for me twice.

The problem with returning a phone to Costco is that you are sort of on your own to keep your upgrade intact. I did it with my Bionic, but I actually had to call VZW while standing at the costco kiosk and give them the sales reps telephone number and name. They called the kiosk and verified the story.

I think the costco deal is really good if you want to swap for a new phone at no cost. I might stroll on down and get a razr to amuse myself with until the gnex lands "before the end of the year"

Only problem is that there is no guarantee that the costco kiosk will actually carry the Gnex (I know, I saw the $289 deal, but how hard would that be to fake?)

- we are only 7 wks from the end of the year, so can't be 'too' far off. That said, it is already farther off than i would have expected.... I personally am disappointed how this has played out

Nothing has been said that it has been delayed. Although, hard to say that since no release date has ever been given for Verizon. However since most of the rest of the world get its on the 17th, one would have to assume very close to that for here in the US. Verizon may just internet launch it at first (which is fine by me), but who knows.

That thing is monstrous. Screen should have stayed at 4.3, and keep the rest of the shell smaller. It probably won't even fit in my pocket.

Also, I wish they'd stop slimming phones down so much, and give them more battery capacity instead.

You're either very small or have very small pockets... or both.

I could fit a Galaxy Note in my pockets. Not that I'd want to, but I could. You have to remember the Nexus has a curved screen and no physical buttons, two things which matter when looking at the screen size numbers.

Naked here. No case or screen protection for the OG droid, and after 2 years it held up remarkably well.

Same here, I'm still surprised there isn't a single scratch, even a micro scratch on the screen. If the GN holds up as well as my Droid, its going to be one hell of a phone.

I think the build quality of Motorola is a notch above Samsung.

i really hate verizon, if the phone is launching in 3 days in europe the only reason its not launching here at the same time is because of VZW
