well the original bionic was actually a different phone.
motorola would have released the "bionic" the motorola targa eventaully anyway.
i figure had the original bionic released in say may, we'd have had the current "bionic" released as some other droid phone or verizon phone right now.
i mean if you think about it, the original bionic was not going to be that great anyway since the current one has a better cpu and you'd think will be easier to update (given the droid 4 / razr/ targabionic all have mostly the same internals).
i can see the current bionic being the "budget" dual core LTE phone from moto in the future. so budget slate, premium slate (razr) and like a slider for keyboard fans... seems like a good lineup.
its too bad they had announced the name bionic for that tegra 2 phone, which sits badly with most people, but this bionic and that original one were different code names anyway.
