TBH i haven't seen a gnex that didn't have the dirty window effect when looking at grey. i had no idea it was a defect

Just picked up the extended battery from the Vzw store. Initially they said it wasn't going to be at the 25 dollar price, but when they rang it up, it came up at 25.

Bought a holster case too . . . but that's going to go back. With the standard battery, its fine. And without the holster part, it fits into my pocket well. With the extended batter, it doesn't really fit. Irritating thing is, I specifically asked if the case would accommodate the extended battery, and they said it would. Bah. Going to take that back.

Does anyone know what Verizon's login app does? I tried using the NFL app (for Verizon) and it says I need to install/run the Verizon login app to continue. I don't mind, per se, but I have all Verizon apps disabled on my phone.

I'd be curious as well. Usually, I try to uninstall, remove, or disable all Verizon related applications myself.

You guys might already know this but if you have the Google+ app installed on your phones, go into settings and turn off instant upload. The only way I found out was I took a bunch of test pictures using the stock ICS camera app and I happen to look at my Google+ account and saw they were all online. Luckily, pics of my water bottle and work monitor won't make a difference but I could imagine a really bad scenario happening.

I use google + regularly with friends so I was aware of this. However, it doesn't "share" the pic out. It uploads it to your G+ but no one can see it until you go in and share manually. I turn it off to save battery life and I don't really share many pics anyways

I don't like how the app has that to on as default, IMO it should be off since it does hurt battery life/data usage. Not many people use G+ though so I guess it doesn't matter much.

I spent 1.5 hours waiting at a fedex depot since i missed the droppoff for this phone then drove to the nearest vzw store to get a micro sim. totally worth it. Xmas is good

Finally pulled the trigger and ordered the GSM version from Negri. $645 shipped was too hard to resist. It's my Christmas present to self. After spending $1800 on a LV bag, $645 looked so reasonable.

I do have to say the grainy look of light colored backgrounds on this screen looks awful compared to my rezound. o think I'll get used to it but its definitely not ideal

Does anyone have any information on the earbuds that come with this phone? I just want to know more about them. Honestly, they sound pretty good to me. What does everyone else think?

Also, I haven't activated my phone yet, but can you tell me what the button on here does? I'm assuming it's just something simple like pause/play?

I don't even bother taking any included earbuds (of any product) out of the packaging. What other earbuds/headphones have you listened to that you are comparing this to?

the earbuds are decent enough. not as good as my shires but better then the cheap senns I have. the button does play pause as well as some phone stuff I think

they do not work right in my creative Zen however. sound does not come out right

Honestly, I don't really have experience with any earbuds expect some Creatives and Apple. I mean nothing amazing, but these are definitely a step above both of those.

The Galaxy Nexus has a 3.5 mm connection so.. yes, you'd have to get a 3.5 mm connection unless you get a 2.5 and then purchase an adapter to convert it to 3.5.

Well took a chance and just won a Galaxy Nexus on ebay. Saved about $100, so the risk is worth it to me. My short-lived time as an iPhone user is over, back to Android. I do have to admit I'll miss some things about iOS and the iPhone 4S, but when I went into the Verizon store and messed around with that beautiful screen on that Nexus, I knew I was going to obsesses over it until I had one. I'll be able to sell my 4S for a decent amount, so it's not costing me that much to switch. Can't wait. So I can appreciate it more (and so I don't screw up the iPhone before I sell it), I'm switching back to my OG Droid today. Going to be a long week or so until that Nexus shows up!

i know the feeling.

i had the day off yesterday and was thinking OMG i can't wait until tuesday to get my nexus since i missed fedex's drop off. so i waited in the cold ass lobby of fedex at 6pm for the trucks to come by (and due to holiday traffic they didnt get there and unloaded until 730) to pick it up today.

itll be worth the wait though.

just curious how much does a 4S go for? i have to buy one with my actual upgrade next year to pay for this nexus...

Right now I can probably get around $500 for mine used. Mine has some extra cases and screen protectors though so I may get a little more.
