i had a bionic with gorilla glass that someone sold me used. there was a small scratch on it. just sold it right after. my cousin has done the same.

if you get the hard plastic screen protectors i can barely tell the difference between that and the actual glass. those rubbery zagg ones thoughi think are plain horrible. really ruins the phone experience.

ok, does anyone know of a list app? My g/f said she had something on the blackberry that she could write a list and then send it to someone. (she didn't appreciate that I told her an email would do the same thing).

Yeah, exactly like that. I do all the grocery shopping so she just wants something easy to launch and send to me.

ehh, email? still don't see what's wrong with that. Or a text message. If it ain't broke... Not everything needs a dedicated app..

she had before, she wants it again and I don't want to argue with her about it.

About swype though, is it the SlideIT soft Keybaord? I didn't see anything actually called swype.

If it's just grocery list you're going for, Our Groceries works well. Updates live very quickly, and you can update from another device, or their website.

SlideIT is a competitor to Swype. They're okay, but I don't think they're as good. They have a few bugs that drive me crazy (for example, auto capitalizing in password fields that I can't turn off).

Thanks for the link. Looks like it isn't installed (or I'm just doing it wrong) when I tapped on the key board part I didn't get any options.

Yeah, you need to first download the beta off of that link. Install and enable it, then you'll get the option to switch keyboards.

Still dont know what to think about the heat.and call quality issues. I think exchanging it wont make a difference. It also doesnt as good as reception as I would like.

Just a quick question but are you disabling unused connections such as Wifi, Bluetooth, and GPS? Leaving those on could cause the phone to overheat. Another suggestion to help your reception issue is to disable Wifi when you're out of the house. I've noticed my Nexus would sometimes not reconnect with LTE/3g when I leave my house and forget to disable Wifi, but after I've done so my signal goes on.

I went through the installer for Swype beta but it says it's not compatible with the GNex screen size?

can you configure widgets after you've put them on the homescreens? Seems it can only be done when you first move it there. Kind of annoying when you change your mind on a setting and you have to do it from the beginning including moving the widget back.

Depends on the widget. Beautiful widgets for example has a settings area after you click on it that allows you to configure it.

see if the widget put an icon in the app drawer as well. usually that leads to a configuration section for existing widgets.
