Going to load the boat with more AMD stock.
Maybe this is what they need to turn around that Q1 score of -600 million.
Am i the only seeing that Trinity seems to drive CPU down FOR an increase of GPU performance?
They're making more potential bottlenecks by not fixing the starvation from Bulldozer.
At which point very soon, gpu increase won't really matter since the cpu cannot keep up even remotely.
Even on laptop reso's.
A lot of that was one time charges...you know, paying off GloFo and buying SeaMicro.
Maybe next year AMD, maybe next year.
Looks like Llano can keep up nicely and i bet Trinity will do the same
According to the last official AMD roadmap, there is nothing new in 2013 after Vishera in 2012.
Nice, I don't always game at low res, low quality, but when I do, I use AMD.
I will keep that in-mind when we talking about Gaming and CPUs
So long as the games we're discussing are Farmville and flash based card games I don't see a problem with this.
Solitaire... don't forget Solitaire.
I kid, I kid.
Steamroller in 2013 and Excavator in 2014
Interesting. Where is that from, it wasn't on the last Desktop roadmap?

AMD is righting the ship. Competition is good, for all, especially us, the enduser.
We already see this in the APU. Llano was a quadcore, Trinity is a dualcore. But GPU is beefed up to fight the only place they can.A lower cost base allows us to be more competitive today and to invest back into the business to fuel our "attack" strategies in- low power, emerging markets and the cloud.
Wow... i always though C2Q == PII
I double piledriver will beat nehalem. The only reason bulldozer ever looked competitive vs nehalem is the 920s lousy stock clockspeed.

AMD is the new VIA.

No, Kentsfield is not better than Phenom II - any time, any place (except in extremelly rare cases).
