The new bios has some very intersting new cpu voltage adjustments. My Ballistix PC4000 memory still won't go past fsb 205 with 2-2-2-10 memory timings like I hoped it would, but I think that's more to do with the memory then the mainbord.

Thanks for the info about updating BIOS from within Windows. I am still using 1.0. Have not updated since my system is running great. No issues at all. I just run at default settings, so overclocking issues are not something that I experience. I have decided to wait a while until MSI has had a chance to clean up the BIOS issues before I update. Call me a chicken, but I feel if it works - leave it alone.

MSI has a strange way of numbering their releases, 1.35 is a release before 1.3
the 5 , stands for release candidate 5, so all the . releases are the newest..
as for your overclocking problems - well the neo2 isn't even close to stable for overclocking yet.

With the Neo 2 is it unusual to only have voltage for dram going up to 2.5? Why did they not go to 2.8?

Instead of using a floppy try this
Open the folder C:\Program Files\MSI\Live Update 3\FlashUty\Award
There you find liveupdates award winflash program winflash.exe
Run the program
Mark the checkmarks DMI and cmos reset .
Click on the blue icon
Browse your computer for the bios file
(it can be downloaded manually as a zip archive from msi instead of using liveupdate)
And press update .
dont forget to clear your bios afterwards with the jumper trick detailed in the manual

Hard to set up
nice board though,
randomly started rebooting,
then eventually wouldn't make it thru windows boot
after that it wouldn't sense the drives properly to allow me to do a fresh install
took it back to the vendor
picked up my current board, and I can honestly say I am not dissapointed with the A8V, its running strong
Don't know why but my vid card overclocks much higher on the asus than on the neo2...
