No. I just voted (Cheney).

As shocking as this may sound coming from a confessed liberal, I have to agree I think Cheney did better on being armed with facts and information. It was kinda surreal watching this debate because it seemed like i was watching the first presidential debate with edwards as bush and cheney as kerry. I mean this strictly in the debating styles. Edwards, IMO, kept repeating the same thing over and over and did not directly address Cheney's accusations about his senate attendance or voting record, He did not even try to defend Kerry from these accusations. He simply ignored them and kept repeating his mantra, over, and over again. However I did notice how cheney talked around the issues the bush administration was weak on instead of directly saying this is what we did. But I of all people can understand why. So you need not start a splinter topic just to address this.

lol, yea dont forget Poland..

Bush needs to stop banging on the podium!

That's probably the first thing Bush did whenever he walked into a bar.

Had Kerry been drinking a beer on stage, Bush would have ripped his podium to shreds.

...banging on the podium was stressed during his rehearsals before the debate.."..aah Mr President, let's do it one more time, this time don't forget the fist on the podium and time it correctly will ya!"

I stop in occasionally, (too slow to work the thread in real time) but you really can't say anything to Dims. They have all of that superstitious paranoia going and it makes their brain non-functional. Remember, they worshipped Clinton! Besides, all of this is their desperate response to seeing Edwards so scared that he was constantly trying to keep his mouth moistened enough to keep talking. I wonder what he is hiding that makes him that nervous?

Scared? Lmao, so I guess Bush must've been hiding a lot. Or did you forget to think that he was also sucking down water? He even ran out of water towards the end. But of course the same won't apply to him. :/

How do you guys think the town-hall format of Friday's debate will impact both Bush & Kerry?

Bush, Kerry Face Town-Hall Style Debate

WASHINGTON ? President Bush and Sen. John Kerry (search) talk often about the needs and ambitions of ordinary people, but neither encounters many along a campaign trail defined by the exquisitely stage-managed photo op and fortified by Secret Service (search) agents.

Despite almost daily campaign events styled as "town hall" sessions with voters, such as the candidates held Monday, neither the Republican incumbent nor the Democratic challenger has much recent experience with the relatively unscripted town-hall format of their next debate on Friday.

What the campaigns call town-hall events, or informal, shirt-sleeve bull sessions, are really almost as staged as traditional speeches or whoop-and-holler rallies.

I don't agree that with that article when it says, "neither the Republican incumbent nor the Democratic challenger has much recent experience with the relatively unscripted town-hall format of their next debate on Friday." Aren't the questions going to be reviewed by both campaigns anyway? All of the questions Kerry takes on the campaign are unscripted and to even prove that he has answered protesters questions before and not have shunned them out of the rally or meeting. On the other hand we all know about the loyalty oaths that Bush supporters have had to sign to enter those meetings and absolutely every dissenter has been kicked out.

To the debate on Friday I think the format will be more helpful to Bush because he should feel a bit more comfortable with the audience. It still doesn't possess a threat to Kerry though. The majority agrees that he will do better with the Economy and Jobs and he will show that in the debate. I sincerely think that while Bush will be more comfortable and will not have a lack-luster performance like last Thursday he still will be far under Kerry's performance. Kerry's charm will be on high alert in this debate and he will express it.

Anyone have any knowledge if they Commision finally decided to have soft-Bush supporters and soft-Kerry supporters or just all undecided's?

Next debate will the media be able to clean up the elephant droppings that Bush lays down or are more Cheney-style lies going to slip throught the cracks?

Considering it was originally to have been a crowd of 4,000 people and now we're down to a crowd of up to 150 (hand-picked by the Gallup organization)? It's a joke. Kerry's campaign gave in too quickly to the Bush campaign's demands. I blame McAuliffe.

I know, the dems capitulate so quickly on these debate rules, Bush must think he's a rock star or something.

Campus is a circus. Media vans everywhere. I went to pick up my credentials for the debate and the media area is like a who's who of US journalists. Just about everything is shut down tomorrow, and all the buildings are locked at noon. Lots of cops walking around. Very different from how campus has been.

You're not actually trying to pass yourself off as an "undecided" voter, are you? I assume you'll be the guy in the audience flipping off Kerry the entire time?
