I really did not care for this game. I mean, it wasn't awful but it sure isn't in my top 10 FPSs. Maybe multiplayer will be better

if you want to level up quick just get the body count badge and play pure body count. youll get like 20min every game and when you win youll get the 1.5x multiplayer.

i played in some 32player shotgun on the small level blood something... was nuts. getting like 40 every round.

That and if you get the Medic badge and play as Medic you get mission points for every heal.
Every body count kill doubles as a mission point.
And yep, get the Medal that relates to Body Count and get double the points for every kill.

If team wins as well.... you just reap in the points if you are killing as well as healing teammates.

If you have the headshot badge and/or melee badge, you'll rack up tons of points in those specific games.

What the hell is up with players in this game? Seems to bring out the worst in people. Can't remember a time when I had to hear so many jerks and crybabies when I played this weekend. I almost felt like I was playing on Xbox Live!!

I know that by nature for Bodycount only games, that people get very competitive. Since I play mostly deathmatch in FPS, I'm pretty use to people trashtalking and it doesn't bother me. It's one thing to trashtalk in a competitive way, and even to compliment someone on a "good shot" in a trashtalking way, but it's another to trashtalk and constantly berate and belittle other players. You can hear the anger and people blowing up on each other. Chill out, turn off the game and go outside!! Sheesh.

Is it the dark and moody atmosphere? The intensity of the game? All this is getting into people's psyche probably, because I don't recall so many players getting this angry in COD/Gears/R2/BF:BC...etc.

It was ridiculously high like 1 in every 4 games, I had to hear someone constantly mouth off on someone. I was also on the receiving end many times, where usually I would chuckle and say something back that's game related on my mic. But by the 3-4th time in the same game, I'm just "Dude, shut the ffkk up! Stop bitching and learn to play" and sometimes, it just escalates even higher from there.

I kept killing this one guy who thought he was some elite player or some crap, every time I shot him, he would go on some rant. Funniest was "you're a ffkking noob, shooting me in the back, ffkk you,...(and every cuss word he could think of)" I shot him with a snipe, he gets mad and goes off, I hit him with the rifle and he gets mad, I go close quarters on him with a shotty, he calls me a noob using a noob gun, I go pistol on him and he's calling me everything he could, and then just to prove a point, I melee him. At this point others are telling him to stfu. It's not even little kids, they sound like they are in their 20's and 30's.

This is just one incident in a few that I was directly in, but it just seemed unusally high this weekend. I'm a chill player, that just plays and have fun, and don't make others feel bad even if they are noob beginners. Sure I get frustrated when the noobs grab the rocket launcher if it's in the game, but I just try not to be in a position to get hit by it again, I don't go off on them. There are many players who are way better than me that I can rarely hit, and I can respect them, but I can't stand these crybabies who talk non-stop shtt. STFU already!

Only positive I can think of is, more people have mics now on the PS3.

anyways, it's still a fun and intense game, but some people need to turn off their PS3 and go outside and enjoy life.

communication is worthless in that game. on the public side there is no team chat at all. i have really run into the super cry baby but there is so much feedback and static and breathing its so old. bluetooth picks up way to much,

turns on blue tooth...leaves in other room. silence. none of the crap.

I am now a Lieutenant and I still think the best combination is Medic + Assault Rifle (iron sights one) on the default class is the best way to get points/experience. It's ironic that the best weapon (in the game so far) is one you start out with, just like the M16 in COD4. I tried using turrets and they don't give you more than 2 kills a game (of course this is just my experience). Thoughts?

i have no issues with turrents. i got the 8 turret badges in like 10-12 games or so.

when they are grouped together they are good. better to get kills with them in like the bomb games or defend the bomb game.

in regular body count they dont do much..

i heard air support is ever worse. im trying to unlock that right now..

the shotgun is a beast though.


i think i went 60-30 or clost to that with a turret one game.

Shotgun is awesome if you get them in one shot. If you miss and they start running around, good luck.

I think everything starts becoming all based on luck once people start moving around you. Melee comes to mind...

Yeah, headshot > autoaim on body. It sounds like this will be addressed in the next patch according to KillzoneDotCom's twitter feed.

hes keeps auto locking as the guy runs. so it looks like a seizure but he never loses his aim. it keeps auto locking as the opponents run.

youtube is blocked at work, but based on that description, I think I know what you are talking about. I always thought it was lag that gave that appearance. I'll have to see the video when I get home tonight and call out the player and do a vote kick when I see it happening in game.


about my earlier rant above, wow, what a difference a day makes. I must have played at least 20 BC games last night, and everyone was cool. Not once did I hear someone going off. It was nice to hear people even compliment other players on a good fight or shot. This is all pub games I'm talking about too. Also late at night some players are stoned and chill (makes me LOL when I hear them inhale, even funnier when they cough), so it's pretty funny talking with them, and everyone is just trying to have a good time. This is how it should be, instead of hearing people getting angry and trashtalking non-stop. Nice!

I don't think there's even a party system you can use with your clan. For now, and likely forever, it's just there because.

But, hey, you'll have "LEGS" show up next to your name in game.

Sadly, no. I've heard they're considering it for a later patch or DLC.

Just finished single player. Wow I'm awful at first person shooters on consoles. I must have died 50 times in the final chapter.

The final chapter was pretty brutal. I probably died the same amount if not more, although I was playing on Veteran. I've been slowly trudging through the single player again on Elite, and I dread reaching the end. I'm not sure if I'll be able to pass it on Elite (or even get there).

Anyway, down to business. Pending any unforseen problems, early next week patch 1.21 will be released. I'll confirm the timings on Monday. The patch includes the following:


# Increase of the standard points settings for Bodycount. Should ensure longer mode on heavily populated games.
# The return of Online Bots. Adding bots to an online game renders it ?unranked?.
# The option to create unranked games. Players will be made aware that a game is unranked upon joining.
# Fix to Game Search functionality so correct maps are displayed.
# Standardization of the Y-Axis controls on the HGH Scout when zoomed with the Sniper Rifle.
# Fix to Sensitivity setting where the weapon animation did not follow the reticule correctly.
# Fix for auto-aim exploit when rapidly tapping zoom/fire.
# Fix to infrequent collision issues with C4 Proximity mines.
# Fix to list of games displayed on search.
# Stability fix relating to disconnect.
# Fix to ?Clan? button functionality in custom game creation settings.



We are also working on the next updates and here are some of the areas we are exploring and investigating for the future patches:



* Controls. Seeing about giving more options.
* Expanding on Join Game searches and options.
* Improving game and network stability.
* Collision exploits on maps.
* Improvements to help play with friends.
* More game creation options.
* More game options for clans.
* Fixes to Clans unexpectadly losing tournament rounds.
* Other minor fixes.
