Chinese is a lot different from Vietnamese. And I'm not saying it's because I'm Vietnamese and trying to establish some kind of ethnic pride or something. Vietnamese people don't have a ton of love for Chinese, and vice versa.

Yes, I like Yao and Ichiro, but I don't like all Asian players, only the best ones.

Also, I don't think the winner of Last Comic Standing has anywhere the same kind of appeal to Asians worldwide as do athletes. In fact, I'll be going to Asia next week, and I'll see exactly what people think about.

Someone made a good point about having an act displayable for TV. All these acts were short 5 minute segments at most, and you would never go that short at a comedy club or TV special. If you know you have 5 minutes, you have to go with what you know will work instead of something expiremental you may need 10 minutes to fully be effective with. Comedy really depends on combos on the audience. You have to keep them going and going, throw in a killer in there once in a while, and somehow tie your act all together. Not too many people are like, here's a joke, now all of you laugh like mad. I've seen plenty of standup from guys on the Tonight Show or Letterman, and I rarely find their short bits very good. But I'm sure most would be great in a real segment, because it's a big deal to be good enough to go on TV. I doubt NBC would allow everyone to say anything that they wanted, as this is a mass market show, and nobody wants to have really "offensive" material to be shown.

The bottom line is that Vos and Ralphie were probably somewhat funnier than Dat, but they acted like complete jerks and junior-high dorks (not to mention their whining) that the people just voted for Dat.

Dat isn't very funny, doesn't have a good comic personality, he just has his little asian "shtick" that he does, which gets pretty old pretty quick.......

When Dat beat Dave I said it was fixed then. When Ralphie performed first last night I knew I was right. Winner always performs last due to psycological impact.

J. Mohr was a complete @sshole as he usually is. Rich should have decked him physically and not just comment wise. Corey probably should have done it or helped.

Watched the marathon today because I missed so many episodes. I cannot believed Dat won. The things that confused me during this show were:

1. Ralphie should have lost to Rob.
2. Dat should have lost to Dave.

I mean, I watched the audience laugh their ass off at Rob, yet somehow Ralphie won. I didn't understand that at all. Rob was hillarious on stage. Dave wasn't hillarious during his standup routine, but it flowed well and was good. Dat kept rehashing the same thing and he was at a loss for words during the middle.

When Dat won the whole thing, I was amazed. How did that happen.

By the way, I think dat got made fun of in the house because he acted so fake. Like talking about truth and honesty and all that crap, I almost gagged.

NBC airs only a small part of the stand up act. the real act is a lot longer than we see.
