If Lebron goes to Miami, I can't see the Lakers handling the Heat. Gasol and Bosh would neutralize each other, and the Lakers guards would get destroyed by D Wade and Lebron taking them off the dribble to the hoop. Can you imagine Derek Fisher guarding that?

That's assuming Miami defeats Boston, which would still be very tough for these 3 to do (in '11 atleast.) It will be interesting to see what other players they get around them and how many get their first call up from the d-league.

/edit: Boston not afraid of Miami 'superteam'.

Typical LeBaby.

Can't handle the challenge of winning a championship as the man.

why does it matter HOW you win a championship, as long as you win one? haters gonna hate.

Yeah you're right, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen are a bunch of babies for joining the Celtics to win a championship. They couldn't handle being the man on another team.

How many championships has Kobe won without a dominating big man?

None?

How many championships would Kobe have won if Memphis hadn't given LA Gasol for a stick of gum?

None?

Prince James and Lapdog Bosh in Miami? They didnt' see out the Miami arena when the had Wade and Shaq... who wants to play there?

He's only the King if he's the man....and Garnett and Allen were much older when the went to the Celtics, and Garnett was traded, not a FA.

Forget about the King. It's the Three Kings now.

KG and Allen did not opt out of their contracts and conspire with other free agents to sign for a single team. They were traded.

You think MJ, Magic, Bird, etc. would have done that? Lebron has a lot of talent next to him in Cleveland but the simple fact is that when the time comes to step up, Lebron has faded and choked.

Now he's ditching his team, his home, to go to Miami with two other superstars. IMO, that automatically disqualifies him from being compared to the game's greatest of all time.

In Kobe's case he didn't become a free agent then start calling a bunch of other FA's saying "hey, let's all sign together in city X."

Not that I would put that past Kobe and I certainly don't relish appearing to defend him.

But there's a big difference between teams trading players to acquire 2 or 3 stars and player's opting out of contracts and conspiring together to sign up for the same team.

Awesome. Didn't realize I was talking to someone with the mental age of my children.

oh, ouch, darn, you got me. waaaaaah!!!!

what does my low mental age have to do with you're crying? Never said I was smarter than anyone here or had a higher mental age than your children (judging by their father's comments, I'm sure they are a bunch of geniuses), but at least I'm not crying in an online forum.

I really don't care if the Knicks don't get Lebron.
I just hope Miami doesn't get him because that team will be stacked and that is bad for the NBA.

I agree to some extent, that it could tarnish James' legacy for taking less money this early in his career to go to a 'superteam'.

Now if they can't capitalize on it...that would be a classic epic failure.

Not so much for Wade tho...he already has a ring and a finals mvp, and should get GM of the year for drawing these two there (if lebron does go), not to mention extreme kudos for staying loyal to his organization and community.

I think you're right on some of your points for sure. But what I do know is that one of the reasons Lebron had such a terrible game/series in the Boston series is that he found out that Delonte West was sleeping with his mother. I'm sure that would mess anyone up, and I'm sure that made him realize he couldn't trust West and thus, his team.

I blame Brown, who can't coach a cat into a mouse cage.

Bulls left to focus on Redick or Korver

Definitely Redick.

Was that rumor ever confirmed to any degree? I agree, that would mess with a guy's head.

Oooh. Redick is intriguing. He'd be like the inverse of Heinrick. Not as good of a defender but a much better shooter. He had an excellent playoffs run and is definitely figuring things out in the NBA.

Korver is a one trick poney(although he's damn good at that one trick) but I don't think there's as much upside to him.

I listen to a whole lot of NBA radio and podcasts. It's RARELY mentioned. Why? Not sure. I'm thinking Lebron's camp begged them not to make it too public. But every now and then when the radio guy who knows the details of it but can't talk about it he says something like this:

"Let me just tell you that there's something else that happened during that Boston series that I'm not allowed to report, but that it severely caused turmoil in the Cavs locker room and Lebron quit on his team after it."

The 2004 Lakers were epic fail. But this Miami team could exceed that if they choke.

Lebron is a great player but all this drama about free agency (which he has nurtured to the media's glee), conspiring with other free agents, signing with a big market team only because two other superstars already committed there, and then having an hour long program to announce your decision like the whole world is waiting with baited breath on what you're going to do.

MASSIVELY overinflated ego for someone who, despite being back to back MVP, has not been able to make much noise in the playoffs even though his team trades for more and more talent every year. Oddly enough, he's had more success with a far worse 2007 squad than he has with more talented rosters in the following years.

This is just me, but if I were Lebron, Wade, or Bosh I'd consider my pride tarnished doing what they're doing. It's a sort of giving up.

I have trouble taking the word of "Bob the broom pusher" who worked at the arena.

Oh it happened. Obviously I don't work there or for anyone affiliated with the Cavs, but I'd put up anything I own against it.
