You can't 1v1 but since there are no rounds, the 3v3 works well. I think the Collector's Edition will be cheaper than the two characters (they might be released separate).

On that subject, any MvC3 or SF players planning on attending Final Round 14 in Atlanta?

Ha! Yeah right, they're my nephews man. No kids for me right now lol. The sad thing is, I'm just a poor college student, but I'll do absolutely anything to see my little nephews happy (including spending money that I kind of don't have lol). I have a sweet TV/surround sound system/man cave, and I think it means the world to them to let them use it. They're favorite characters are iron man, spiderman, hulk, thor, captain america, etc, so they've been eagerly anticipating this game. Of course, buying "them" games has some benefits for me too.

I love SF but never cared for MVC. I'll get it to mess around with but that is all. I'm more looking forward to the campcom version of DF vs. Tekken.

If you are a fighter fan and you do not get this game then you've wasted your time and mine calling yourself a fighting gamer. I guess everyone has their own opinion. While I found MvC2 easy to pick up I found it to be the hardest fighting game to truly master.

I can't wait for this game,I was a massive fan for the standup arcade version. So,it pleased me to hear of a 3D third installment that will appear on consoles. If you've seen the trailer for this game,it looks pretty insane. I'm liking what I've heard of it so far. Spiderman vs Dan,looking forward to it. The graphics I think are comparable to DC Universe vs Mortal Kombat (Which I also enjoyed),except I believe they're a bit smoother.
Regardless,I'm buying it for sure.

the only reason mvc2 got so popular is because of how broken the engine is and how it can be exploited at the highest level of play.

we'll see how mvc3 does it.

i already preordered the SE from amazon.com but i was not a big fan of mvc2 cause of too much shit goign on at once. but mvc3 looks awesome and I will give it a chance for sure since I just like fighting games in general and this looks like it will have a big following.

I believe there are two non DLC slots left to confirm. Speculation is Sentinel will be one of them, as far as the other, I've no idea. I am hoping for Guile or Charlie. Frank West and Phoenix Wright may end up as DLC in the future.

i was looking on the website earlier and it looks like there are 2 empty slots on each side.

wonder when we will start to see moves lists and stuff coming out. i was going to buy the strategy guide causee I like the artwork on fighters and stuff in general, but i don't even see Prima making one for this ... was kind of surprised.

Bradley is making one and it is supposed to be pretty in depth. Claims to have frame data and such. Might be worth checking out.

lol wtf i searched on there too ... my searching skills must be failing hard.

i preordered the xbox360 SE edition from amazon with release day delivery ... wonder if I add that guide on there if that will ship with it.

anyone ever had expereinces like this, adding items to a preorder item?

im just wondering because the game had free 'release date delivery' with it, but the strategy guide does not.

Another VF fan here, hoping for VF5 Final Showdown on console.
On the 2D fighter side of things, I'd like to see a localized port of Arcana Heart 3.

I think MvC3 looks depressing. 720p (or 1080p!) sprites would have been so much better, and especially so when fully half of the characters are from comics! I'd have bought the game just for the graphics if they did that.
