just read through it, and i gotta say, that is a pretty awful review. not that the game sounds awful, but that review is just extremely poorly written.

they talk about keep away characters being cheap? what game doesn't have keep away characters? of course it will be hard for the slow/strong guys to get in on the keep away characters. every fighter has these types of characters.

let alone, the word "cheap" is just a word scrubs use to cry about tactics that are too hard for them to overcome. that whole explanation of that takes about 20% of this review as well.

sounds like the guy writing the review is simply a scrub at fighters and really didn't know what to focus on. and for the record, im not an mvc2 fan (dont hate the game i just dont play it or enjoy playing it, it's okay to watch though)

Sentinel "officially" announced. I just wonder who the last character will be. I was kind of hoping this game wouldn't go back to battle of the rocket punch, but looks like it will. Oh well, my sentinel was decent.

As far as "cheap" tactics go, that just makes me laugh. There is no "cheap" thing about MvC and "exploits"? Huh? If you're talking about "infinite" loops, a lot of fighting games have those. There is a 136 hit Chun Li combo on SSFIV, you just have to be a beast to do it.

Damn, She Hulk actually looks pretty dope! I'm really hoping to be able to get this. I've always loved MvC despite being a SF guy. MvC just has the most interesting gameplay of any fighter I've spent time with since Killer Instinct or Clay Fighters 64....yeah, I went there.

Haha, yeah. The review is just obnoxious. The dude talks of balance and complexity, but there's no way he could identify either of those. It's like a cow trying to review canned tuna.

Guile is pretty close to the top of the tier chart, I believe. Not to mention there are a ton of Guile players in Super Turbo.


There is a Montgomery tourny including this I might be attending before Final Round 14 in Atlanta. Really looking forward to the competitive scene with this game.

blanka is pretty ass in ssf4 in general. i haven't looked at the tier lists in a while but i'd put him mid or mid/low.

i play balrog and that is probably blankas worst matchup in the entire game.

he is more of a gimmick/shenanigan type of character though in general, but a good blanka can be extremely frustrating to play against haha.

anyone seen if there are any scans or images of this brady guide?

Blanka was always my fave too, since playing Street Fghter 2 in the arcade.

in AE Blanka is total ass from what I hear. No longer does he have unpunishable on block blanka balls.

yea according to the local SRK thread of my area, the store that sold SSF4 5 days early is selling MVC3 as of now.

i bought SSF4 from them on a Thursday for $50 when it was coming out the following Tuesday for $40.

they are selling MVC3 for $75 apparently for the normal edition.

i already got hte SE preordered from amazon and I figure a leak will probably drop since there are legit copies in the wild, but i'd rather wait at this point. that store only had like 6 copies of SSF4 on each platform before so I'm guessing it is probably similar situation with MVC3, and they are probably gone by now anyways.

plus that is some shady crap they are selling for more, but i am an sf4 addict so i couldn't resist that game.

If it is legit, then yes. I don't have a PS3 anymore, so I can't mod one to play it. But onces the Xbox 360 version gets leaked, I am playing this early! I already have my SE pre-order copy paid for anyway.
