Didn't see a thread here or in the console forum (yes I searched!) so thought I would make one.

Is anyone else getting excited? I'm looking forward to making Shepard's life..unpleasant.

I am really excited to see the improvements they made over ME. While a great game in its own right - not enough interesting side quests and the planet exploration was a bit drab.

I'm very excited. Just two weeks ago, I had zero interest in Mass Effect. But, I bought the game a few months ago (I tried playing through the start of the game a few times...I never followed through), and I recently decided to clear it out of my backlog. Needless to say, after a week's addiction, I immediately pre-ordered ME2 on amazon and I cannot wait until the 26th.

In fact, I gotta say, ME ranks up high on my list of favorite games right now. (Metal Gear Solid was/is #1, but every MGS after MGS1 has been a disappointment.)

I hope I can find my save files somewhere... I think I got rid of ME because it was taking up space and I had a LOT of trouble motivating myself to play my "evil" character. Maybe it's because she wasn't evil, she was just a whiny annoying bitch. It's depressing that Bioware can't come up with a believable Renegade character.

I just finished my third run the other day (Paragon female, if you care). If you know what you're doing, a complete run (everything but the dumb collection quests) can be done in under 20 hours (sub-15 if you don't have the DLC and are pretty quick).

I plowed through it because my initial playthrough had gotten lost at some point, and I didn't want to do ME2 with my Renegade. Looking forward to seeing what effect the various choices have.

I'm tempted to replay it as my Paragon dude quickly as well, so I can do the same in ME2. This time I can skip most of the ridiculousness, and not worry about party equipment because I'll be using SPECTRE gear on everyone at the end anyway. Hopefully it'll move quickly.

Quick question...

I beat the game as a Renegade the first time, and I started a New Game+ and am planning do paragon. Does anyone know which one will stick when I import it into ME2? I'd rather play as renegade.

hmm. replaying again would be cool but i got too many games in the backlog....

cant wait for ME2 but not sure when I will get to play it. got Fallout 3 after i finish COD MW1 so I think it might be awhile.........

I just hope they make the game a little longer for the main quest. And add more variety in the side quests on the planet. 2 floor plans and 2 underground bunker floor plans got repetitive quickly!

Sadly, the PC version was severely lacking due to the limitations of consoles. More than two bunker maps would've been great, but GOD FORBID the PC version actually has content over the consoles because PCs can run them and consoles can't.

The lack of effort by devs who release cross-platform games fucking pisses me off.

I can't wait to play it, but I know that if I am patient enough I will see some week-end special maybe one or two months after its release. I'm still debating with myself on when to buy it, and even where to buy it (Steam, retail or CD-Key purchase site).

You can pick which save file to import. The game is supposed to fill in the backstory (that you see or play) based on what you've done.

You can also change your class

I was really excited about ME2 right after I played ME, but after a month or two that excitement has waned. I'm still kinda on the fence regarding Bioware's style (the same as in Dragon Age... I didn't like the system that much). I'll probably get it anyway.

They've also said no Securom or other bs from ME1 on pc. Should only have a disc check like Dragon Age

This is the first game I've ever pre-ordered in over 13 or so years of gaming.
