Warcrow, do you actually work or have a life outside of games? It seems like every time a game with a midnight launch is released, you've got a copy of it... I'm not judging, I'm being envious.
Hehe--I do work full time actually. I didnt get home until 2am. But I got an invite from Konami to attend the LA "VIP Press Event". I;ve turned these down in the past, but my curiosity got the best of me--so I went. It was really fun! They had an open bar, Baja Fresh/Italian buffet, 5 Kiosks with MGS4 running, a 70 inch Bravia looping in-game cutscenes and just about everything else you can think of that would be at that kind of event. There were probably 40 other people there including David Hayter, Ryan Payton (Assoc. Producer), and one other guy (Ass. Producer) who worked on the game. I got to chat with David about the the script writing work (X-men, X-men 2, Watchmen). He's a really nice guy and totally loved doing the drops for the Podcast. Ryan was being pulled in 12 different directions. I talked with him for about 20 seconds, but he just had to go. I wanted to ask him what it was like working with Kojima.
Also, Adam Sessler was there and I cannot beleive how (REALLY!) short he is. There were some other jurnos there from various outlets. It was a lot of fun. I think I'm going to have to go to more of these in the future!
I'm pretty tired today here at work though.
