The point I'm trying to make is how Dallas and Dirk can play an amazing series against the Spurs, but play four terrible games and choke so bad. If they would have played like that against the Spurs in that series, they would have been destroyed.

i rooted for NJ Nets this season. how dallas beat the spurs is really really getting under my skin, no doubt about it.

The only person I feel bad for is Avery Johnson. I liked him when he played for the spurs.

Avery is pretty overrated as a coach. He designed a play for Eric Dampier in the last minute of the game....why?

So many chances to take the lead in the 4th...yet his team would jack up jumpers and 3s. They didn't drive to the basket at all....even when you shooting 37% they still jacking up jumpers. wtf...that's poor coaching.

I don't know if that was designed, I think Shaq rolling out to front Dirk and Dampier going to the basket logically gave Dirk someone to pass to. A very similar play worked for them in game 5.

No need to feel bad for anybody in this series, except maybe Mar Cuban. They played as well ae they could. The Heat has a multitalented team, particularly on defense. Their team defense exceeds Detroit's. Indeed, they probably learned from the Pistons in the playoffs and ended up matching their intensity in crunch time and then exceeding it. Very flexible and very well coached.
And then there is D Wade. Always finding a way. Seen it all season long. Still tons of untapped potential. Shaq? The anchor. A gravity well. Just sucks up the opposing teams defense. They found there strengths and kept building on it. Very satisfied Heat fan here! :wine:
