Glad Horizon 3 is coming to the PC. The $299 Xbox One S may finally get MS competing with Sony. They haven't said how much more power it has though if any.
Other than the ability to play 4K video, I don't think it has any more power. It's just a smaller Xbox One.
oh and now look...
ANOTHER BATTLEFIELD!!
BF 1 does look pretty sweet, but I'm getting it for the PC.
Xbox one s looks meh. Only interested if it came with a speed bump, but it does not. This might be a good opp to pick up an original Xbox one cheap.
That sucks, I thought they were talking about making it more powerful too. Maybe they pivoted to relying on the PC for people that want the upgraded graphics. Looks like all first party stuff is coming to PC, which is great.
That's the rumored Scorpio console, which isn't due until 2017.
I agree, I thought the direction was for a faster system. Curious to see what Sony does in the coming months.
Hmm, it's looking like Phil might pull a "one more thing" here.
I like where MS is going. Play their games on Windows 10, Xbox One, or the future system. Covers all the bases. Really smart of them to finally leverage their biggest asset over Sony, the PC.
It's still a while away, over a year and a half but I think they should have waited to see what Sony has up their sleeve. Sony is being the smart one, waiting for what Microsoft is releasing so they can one up then like they did with the PS4 announcement. But when you think about it, a year and a half isn't that long for what they are doing, they are probably near finalizing the specs and need to get it in production then build enough to sell for holiday next year. I really think they should have waited like Sony is.Yup, Scorpio holiday 2017.
Press conference basically confirmed me buying a new 1070 video card for my PC. Wish I could afford 1080 but that ins't going to happen. All the good games are coming to Windows 10 as well.
Why buy a scorpio next year when you can build a stellar PC for similar pricing and not miss out on games/community?
Since they are acting like it doesn't exist, I wouldn't expect it to be officially revealed till e3 of next year from both MS and Sony, and come out sometime around holidays of 2017. We might get some leaks/rumors before then.
Unless you already have a fairly recent system and need to only upgrade the video card, you're not going to get similar performance for the price on a PC.Press conference basically confirmed me buying a new 1070 video card for my PC.
