Only throw that I've ever seen come close was Bo gunning down Harold Reynolds from the warning track. Rick Ankiel's were good, but they were only to third at an easy angle. Cespedes had to drop that throw in above the runner, simply amazing. One of the best throws of all time to save a run.

You should never question Beane but I don't get this trade? The A's are a run scoring machine and the starting pitching was already solid. Cespedes has a large annual salary but isn't Lester going to walk away after the season?

The only thing that surprises me is that the A's waited this long to trade him. I assumed he would be dealt after his first season, you know, because A's.
