Being a Yankees fan, I'm happy as hell that we're up 3-1 going in to game 5. The whole tenor of the series is different now. I was dreading going back to New York for two must-win games. Now we can take it easy, and if Burnett isn't sharp tonight, it doesn't really matter. I don't expect to beat Lee tonight. He's been incredibly dominant for the last two years (although, remember that he sucked prior to that).

I'm glad that Pedro came out mediocre and that Lidge blew the game. I don't like Pedro and I don't like Lidge, and anything they can do to make Rollins look even more like a moron is good in my book.

He was completely shut down in Games 1 and 2. He only came alive in Game 3. His counterpart, however, is still silent.

Hrmph. Thanks for blowing that one, Lidge. Although I'm surprised the Phillies were even in the game as much as they were. Saturday is the one they really needed - losing to Sabathia and winning with Lee isn't far fetched - Hamels blew that one hard.

The Phils should win tonight, but it gets hairy finishing the series in New York...

I don't think they CAN finish in New York. Especially without a closer. That last game by Lidge was just terrible. How can you not know to cover third with the infield shift on? Fundamentals.

They're coming after his first pitch, not surprising considering how many first-pitch strikes he threw during Game 2. Burnett needs to start mixing it up more.

Hitting is definitely where it needs to come from .. I think our pitching may be able to limp around and keep up.. but if you can't score runs, what's the point.

Maybe.... This could be another case of Burnett having a shakey 1st and calming down in the later innings.

Hopefully, the Yankees offense is a little louder against Lee than it was in G2.

He's by far their best defensive CFer, I guess their calculation is that (a) he won't get better with rest and (b) that his defense is still worth having even if his offense completely disappears.

Burnett got absolutely rocked.
