is multiplayer only 6v6 in this game?

It's mostly 6 vs 6 but there's a game lobby called Ground War which is 9 vs 9, Team Deathmatch and Domination only.

Ground War is borderline stupid, haha.

BTW, I hate domination in MW2. It's the only game mode where I spawn _literally_ in the middle of enemy fire. I could spawn by a capture point five times in a row, and die before I can even move.

MW1 domination was much better, but it will neverrrrr be the same as BF2. <3

Too many people for my liking. I like 5-6 man teams where strategy needs to be used, plus I hate the huge maps that come up ll the time in groundwar.

I play almost exclusively in Ground War... great mix of TDM and Dom keeping the game mixed up and it allows party chat.

After reading the discussion here and seeing some tactics executed on video, I think I'm going to try a few new combo's. I get too caught up in one strategy, right now the SCAR + Stopping Power + Scavenger + Ninja (all Pro).

Scavenger Pro
Danger Close
Ninja Pro

UMP45 w/Silencer
Marathon Pro
Cold-blooded
Ninja Pro

I use those two weapons currently for grenade assault and stealth respectively, but I think swapping the Tier 2 Perks could have a nice benefit. One of my major downfalls with the Stealth is when the enemy has a UAV up. And on some maps the grenades are a great help and Danger Close should make those pretty sweet.

What is everyone using for a secondary weapon? I've been sticking to the shotguns lately, mainly the AA-12 as I don't find myself rapid-firing enough with the Striker. I have yet to unlock the M1014.

I tried the M93 Raffica in one game and it worked pretty well as a backup, but I don't think it would be as good for a secondary assault weapon.

For my stealth class I was thinking the tactical knife would be helpful. Maybe try the USP 45?

Same...most of the time. 6v6 not enough for me either.

Wish more game types were in the mix. Maybe they should make a ground war+. A little CTF, maybe some sabotage and HQ in the mix.

I think Cold-blooded Pro is a very under-valued perk. Especially when using guns that have high damage already. I love it when harriers, UAVs, etc. come in...I just keep playing like normal. More often then not, when an enemy UAV comes out, I start raping the other team.

I find when playing domination, that Cold blooded is really needed, especially when the other team starts calling in lots of Air Support.

I also , use the UAV as Killstreak Reward. I like to know where the enemey, especially if they plan on crashing a flag / bomb site ( for sabatage / demolition).

According to the COD Wiki, the HS doesn't drift when you turn from side to side like the RD. However, put a HS on a SCAR and you will see that this is complete and utter horsesh!t. It doesn't drift on weapons like the ACR, but then again neither does the RD.

I've also heard that putting a HS on a FAMAS increases max range/damage versus a RD, which seems retarded to me.

So seriously, what's the deal? Other than preference/visibility, is there really a difference?

I only know of a difference with the M16. The holographic sight groups shots better than the red dot.

I pretty much prefer the red dot over the holo b/c it's much smaller.

And the holo makes the FAL do more minimum damage, not the FAMAS. Raises it from 35 long range damage to 40. That actually makes a big difference if you use stopping power, because it turns it into a 2-shot kill at long range.

The only other guns where holo makes sense over red dot are the TAR-21 and F2000, which have really crappy red dot sights.

Yeah, the MARS sights on the Tar and F2000 are awful...and yet to have to use them to get the EOTech...

No, you can get a game, sell it to a friend, buy a different copy later, etc. Your achievements are locked to your account, as is your downloaded content (games, movies, etc), that's about it.

Do you guys any of the LMG? and if what is the best way to utilize them?

The AUG is my failsafe. If I'm trying out a new combo and I'm getting my ass kicked I'll switch to that and try to break even.

The damn thing is almost like a sniper rifle at long range, the iron sights are good enough to not waste an attachment on an RDS or ACOG, because the grip is necessary at all times IMO.

You might have to adjust your play style though, because you move so slowly you'll want to stay back more often or take the less traveled routes. If you try to get across the maps in high traffic areas you're a pretty easy target.

Move cautiously, use a lot of cover and you should do well with it.

The ACR is just great in my opinion. i was using TAR with silencer to cancel out the recoil but grew tired of the accuracy issues. you do lose damage with the ACR but i find that it makes up for it with accuracy and the detailed iron sights. a lot of headshots with this weapon. i like the javelin most days b/c with cold blooded i shoot things out of the sky like nobody's business. The rest of the perks and attachments are setup so i'm completely off the radar grid no matter what i'm doing or whats going on in the game. i like that aspect a lot. and the killstreaks are setup 5,6,7 so that once i get to 5 i'm guaranteed to get all 3. i would like to get a tactical knife for a handgun but it's almost impossible for me to get 75-100 kills in order to unlock it. i mean i never use a handgun b/c i'm not skilled with them in the game.

*also are there any updates on what the heck is going on with pavelow kills counting towards killstreaks? i read a few pages back that certain circumstances affect it. any idea why they haven't patched this issue yet?

*After my 5,6,7 killstreaks have been fulfilled in the game and i haven't died, do they start all over again once i get five more kills? like if the harrier strike gives me five kills will it start me over with the predator?

It should as long as you haven't died yet. Unlike CoD4, if you wait to use your killstreak until after you die it doesn't start another killstreak.

No, you have to die.

I haven't had an issue with this.

My KS setup is Predator, Pavelow, AC-130. Yesterday I was playing a match and got my Pred., got a triple kill, then killed one more on my own, got the Pavelow, it killed two for me and it got me the AC-130.

Though it isn't very often I go 11-0 w/o dying so I can't really claim 100% one way or the other.

Usually when i hit the Predator killstreak i use it asap. that's probably why i sometimes end up not killing anyone and definitely not killing more than one person. i should probably try and hold on to it until i have someone bunkered up or in my sights down range. I didn't play last night but i'm siked to get on tonight, Friday night, and play for a few hours once i get off swing shift.
