Well, all the ridiculously good players are back for a while. I just played matches on Carnival and Trailer Park against nothing but Marathon/Lightweight/Commando dropshotting UMP/Spas 12 players with stupid-fast reflexes. I don't know if I've had a positive k/d game yet today. I'm very, very frustrated.

dont sweat it chedrz. I feel like I am fairly good (1.5-2.0kd ratio when I am playing carefully and not running and gunning halo style)and I was reading on ps3news that people have hacked the latest update to have aimbots and unlimited AC130's. I played in matches that every person on the team was amazing good. Almost too good. I would be shooting them in the back with an rpd/grip/stopping power and they would turn around quick and kill me. I could not tell you how many times this happened. When watching the killcams, they would get hit once and turn around and immediately be aiming at me 3 three round burst, dead. I don't care how good you are but there is no way that could happen time and time again. The response is too quick. There is no way a person could turn that quick and have an automatic fix on a person from 30-40 yards away with high chest head shots. There was not a single person on my team that had positive kd ratio.
People have to be using aimbots on ps3 and xboxes.
Boosting has gotten bad too recently. I never use to encounter them and now I have about 1 or 2 a day.

I'm hoping they go on regular playlists today, Friday. They were on all playlists the day after with Stimulus.

@drbrock--I'm trying not to sweat it too much. I typically only play Domination & Deathmatch, so all these other gametypes aren't helping my situation. I just had some bad lag tonight, along with people playing like turds. I started out pretty bad when I first got the game (.8 k/d for my first month), but now I'm at 1.3. It doesn't help that I just prestiged yesterday and have to get my guns back, either.

New maps+stupid good players+no guns=teh suck.

I've definitely seen a spike in the number of Marathon+LW+Commando MORONS. Still to this day, I scratch my head and wonder wtf IW was thinking when they made that kind of lunacy possible. "Yay, I can I 20-0 without ever firing one single mother!@#$ing shot!"

Played a few mins before work on standard TDM (I can wait two days for the new maps to be on regular rotation). On the last game I played I had a guy message me angry about something I was using.

Danger Close? Nope, don't have it unlocked yet. Grenade Launcher! Nope. Claymores? Nope...

He called me a dick because I was using...Stopping Power! That's right folks, the new el-cheapo perk that has everyone up in arms!!!

I get crap like that every once in awhile... usually after a particularly good round or something. No matter what perks/guns you're using, there's always someone out there who will deem it cheap.

I never prestiged in COD4 and I used to get messaged daily by whiners and crybabies over being a lvl 55. One such message read "why don't you prestige you lazy twat". This was after a 35-1 round on Ambush. So I wrote back "I singlehandedly won the game, lined you and your team up, and proceeded to bend each of you over without anyone lifting a finger to stop me. What's lazy about that? Besides, why do you care if I prestige?"

Never heard back from the guy.

Between COD4 and MW2, the only gripe over "cheapness" I've ever had is with Commando and Lightweight being used together, because then the game's melee overpowers everything but shotguns at rather substantial distances. Even in COD4, I never really had problems with grenade spam, noob toobers, campers, etc. Those things just never affected my game or, if they did, I figured out a way to deal with them. I got a LOT of grief for using silenced MP5's and P90's, though.

Like I've mentioned in a previous post, the tacknife+marathon+lw+commando combo is incredibly effective. Too effective as it does not require the need to reload. I've seen some runners that are pretty much canon fodder, but I've played with the class myself and gotten a nuke from it before.

However, nothing is as cheap as Kabob and his Stopping power though... lol.

I messaged him back, his only response was "I only use stopping power until I get cold blooded." I'm thinking..."umm...so?" Apparently it's only cheap if you already have CB...

Oh, and his spelling is horribly broken and his bio is all leet type ("R CLAN WILL RAEP UR MOM WIT OUR SKILZ" or something of the sort).

Next time I'll just rock a noob tune w/DC and OMA so I don't offend him.

One of the guys I play with typically has some great one-liners for the campers/noob tubers/knifers on the other team, no matter how well they do.

His best one ever: a guy on the other team was using a heartbeat sensor on some assault rifle. After the game, the guy on my team says, "Hey [insert gamertag here], you use that heartbeat sensor to find all the good glory holes?"

The guy dropped out. We stopped laughing two matches later. Maybe.

Wow, I'm really not to sure about these new maps. The first map pack I actually liked all the maps... this one.... oh man.


First of all, Vacant SUCKS now. Noob tubes/Grenade Launchers are all it is indoors. Horrible horrible map. Secondly, the outdoors map is just WAAAAAAAAAAAY to big. The map might be really good if it was, oh I dunno, 1/4th the size. It's just ridiculously massive.

I haven't really had a chance to play the clown map yet. Trailer Park is interesting. I don't love it, but it might be fun. Seems like a map for campers laying in grass though.

Out of every annoying aspect of the game, the Marathon/LW/Commando jackasses that ONLY knife you, get to me the most.

I can deal with the noob tubes, and danger close, and the really shitty spawn system that puts the guy I just killed 5 ft away from me, but I REALLY detest the assholes that run around only knifing people.

I wont lie, I use Marathon and LW (both pro) along with Ninja Pro, and the silenced UMP, out of my average 15 kills a round, 2 are from melee kills, which would be no different if I was using a completely different class.

The main reason I ever use Commando Pro is for the no fall damage, otherwise I rarely go around knifing people. Unless it's a map I really hate and don't want to play it the correct way, I'll use the First Recon class.

I never realized how fond I was of COD4 maps until just now. That game was great.

I've really warmed up to trailer park...it's one of the few maps where SMGs really shine, not to mention it's the easiest to wrap my head around.

I like the idea of carnival, but it's so cluttered that it feels like it'll take forever for me to get the hang of. There doesn't seem to be any sort of theme or structure to it, it's just random. Not necessarily a bad thing for team dm, but it's gonna take a while.

I'm not sold on fuel though, and I don't think I'll ever be. It's just too big, and it ends up being a snipe and noob-tube fest. It reminds me of derailed...and I loathe that map.

I never really liked vacant. I can deal with it, but I don't like it. It's great for quick s&d though. Strike is good, but wouldn't have been my first choice. They added way too many new doorways though.

Im holding out hope for another map pack or two. I would love to see crossfire, ambush, backlot and district come back.

Agreed I like Trailer Park myself.

Carnival was pretty cool too but I only got to play once for about 1 min before the game ended.

Strike is pretty good as well -- I got owned badly on it most times though.

Vacant I have yet to play as it never came up last night

Fuel - I actually like this map but you are right, it's HUGE. Lots of sniper spots so you really have to watch your a$$ but in general I dig it.

Maybe they were drunk when they were picking which to include. Crash is the only one I completely agree with, it and Crossfire were the best maps in CoD 4 and both would work well in MW2. Strike I'm pretty cool with, I enjoyed it a good bit in CoD 4. But why they choose Vacant (which I liked in CoD 4 but knew it wouldn't work in MW2) and Overgrown is beyond me.

I'd have replaced Overgrown with District or Broadcast probably, Vacant with Crossfire. I wouldn't have been sad if Strike had instead been District or Backlot either, but I do like the map (although I've yet to see how it plays in MW2).
