Played yesterday afternoon that rolled into last night with some guys from AVS.

Had an unbelievable streak of games.

31 straight for me.

Completely ridiculous. We had to work for those last few but it was a blast.

The last 10 games or so I was reduced to nothing more than artillery support for knocking down harriers, pavelows, choppers, and UAVs (yeah I said UAVs) and camping on flags for protection. The rest of the guys did the heavy lifting.

I am so freakin' tired and my eyes are killing me. Not complaining that's for sure.

3 of us were able to keep the streak going for 2 games in the middle while 2 guys took a short break, this was even before we had our own team so several games were with strangers this went on for a long time.

At 8:00pm I said this is my last one as I had some things to do (hadn't even eaten dinner). Well once the game started everyone went off and we opened up a 1000 point lead in about 5 seconds. Daekwan (guy from AVS) says you aren't going anywhere.

2 hours later at 10pm we got win #31 and I was like I gotta go. Wished the guys the best and shutdown. My eyes were killing me and I have a blister on my thumb. Good news is got so many points I leveled up 5 times I think so I am now in the 50s.

We also got stuck against a team that was so bad that we had to leave and get a new room. We played 3 games against them and it was a massive slaughter. Domination games were something like 200-16. Just bad, really bad.

Has anyone gotten a kill with a crate, let alone a game winning kill? All the other challenges seem to just be a matter of time, but that one seems hard. Emergency air drop on Rust would probably do it...

I got an unintentional kill with a crate when someone tried to sneak up on me on Sub Base. I threw down the marker and turned around to watch my back, the guy came from the other direction around cover (my teammate who I thought was watching me apparently wasn't) and it fell on him.

I've got a buddy who got a game winning kill with one, not sure what his tactic was. I think he threw the marker down around a Domination flag while the other team was trying to capture.

Kabob got one on accident. The easiest way to do it is find someone who's in chopper gunner or AC-130 mode and throw the grenade at them.

Heh, I never thought about that! Only issue is that they'll probably behiding somewhere near cover...cover that could tip said crate off course.

That's actually a good idea. The domination tactic was the only idea I really had going so far.

I still think the most lolwut game winner is the stealth bomber. It isn't comparable to using the Pave Low, but ending a match by carpet bombing the enemy is just funny to me.

I had a great game winner earlier when playing solo.

Joined a game on Favela that was already underway (400-200), grabbed my new UMP/PP2000/Marathon/SP/Steady Aim class and got a kill or two, then got killed by a guy with a heartbeat sensor on his ACR. Got another kill and he got me again...frusteration!

Switched to my UMP cold blooded/ninja class and continued, lets just say he didn't kill me again the rest of the game thanks to that switch.

What was really good though is that the he decided that he needed to camp the room overlooking the roof garden...the whole match. He guarded his back by placing a claymore inside but not facing the enterance to the room, instead facing to where someone would have to walk past it to run to where he was camping. Smart idea, really, anyone running up there would be killed by it. It's exactly what I would do...but I wouldn't camp for so long.

Well, the first time I ran up there it did kill me. Unfortunately for him the next 4-5 times I ran up there it didn't. I'd run up the stairs and peek around the corner to see if the red trip lasers were there (they always were). Instead of heading to the door leading out to where he was I instead sprinted straight towards and past the claymore and turned around...every single time I did it he didn't notice it tripped until it was too late. I got the game winning kill the same way, people got to watch me run up, peek around the corner, sprint at the claymore, whip around and shoot him in the back of the head...oh the joy!!!

Would you be able to get "Droppin' Crates" in Domination? There aren't "game winning kills" in that mode.

I got my first nuke last night. It was during Domination on Carnival. I was perched up on the castle and watching over A and B. It was just a perfect spot. I even got called a lovely human for my efforts! Good times were had by all.

Best idea would be to do it in S&D - final kill counts as a kill cam, so you could defend your bomb and throw the crate at them.

I killed a member of the other team with a crate last week. Got the "Heads Up!" title for it.

Which was pretty funny, because we were talking earlier before playing about how statistically unlikely it would be for a crate to land on someone unwillingly.

Now, I just have to get one with a match winning kill ......

Got a crate kill by throwing it on the same spot as an enemy marker. His crate arrived, he started to retrieve it and my crate landed on him... double crate for me.

I also got a few friendly crate kills from idiots camping my marker and the crate rolled on to them.

I think I must have gotten a crate kill when I first started playing the game b/c I have the Heads Up title, but it must have been before I prestiged b/c I'm 0/1 in that category.

So recently i've been running with silencers on both primary and secondary weapons (shotgun). Seems like if you dont have stopping power it just takes to freakin long to kill people. Its nice in hardcore which ive been playing a lot of though.

my real question is do you guys use silencers on shotguns? i feel like sometimes i go to use my shotgun and it just hurts them instead of kills even at closer range. Opinions on it?

Let me explain the mechanic of silencers, because it is important to understand. Silencers do not decrease the damage a gun does, it decreases the range. Most guns have a damage range based on how far away a target is. The further away, the less the damage. By decreasing the range, you decrease the maximum range for maximum damage. This effect is obviously more noticeable on shotguns which have a very low range to begin with. For the most part, silencers on shotguns is never a good idea.

Also while it may seem appropriate, silencers on snipers is not a good idea either unless playing hardcore. Long range assault rifles are the only acceptable medium.

I know about the range decrease not damage. sorry if i just didnt specify what i meant.

Im rather finding out about silencers on shotguns, work ok but not worth the loss in range damage.

Im just talkign to myself at this point. Silencers on my rifle=good, shotguns=bad.

btw spawn points are retarded. Love killing a guy just to have him spawn 10 feet from me. This game is so anti lone wolf behind enemy lines sometimes

I got another kill with a care package last night!!

Unfortunately it was my moron teammate who saw the red smoke from the CP marker and wanted to steal my care package...but he stood too close and got squished (yay...)

Silencers + shotguns = bad idea. Their range (except with the SPAS) is already horrible, putting a silencer just makes it even shorter.

Then again, I don't typically like 'em on my assault rifles. Bout the only weapon I always use a suppressor on is the UMP45 since it's range doesn't matter.

Suppressors lower the damage (not range) of light machine guns and sniper rifles (since they technically have no range). With assault rifles and submachine guns they just lower the range.

Good games yesterday! We were really cleaning up there for a while. I was on a roll from my prior games and kept it up in ours. Really digging the FAL with stopping power.

It was great to play with you firebird! You're always welcome to join in!

I played the single best game of MW2 I've ever played this morning on Strike. It's not that I did particularly great (I did alright), but it was so balanced and it came down to the wire. I bet you there were 12-15 lead changes and no one got a killstreak reward above UAV. At the very end we had them contained to the courtyard area and with my silenced ACR I snuck in through the restaurant and killed 3 of them from behind and we won it 75-69.

Nice i always love the close games. When games end like 7500-7400 even when i lose i just breathe a sigh of relief at the end.

Does anyone else really play hardcore? I dont know why but i've actually gotten into a "HC phase" where ill do great in HC deathmatch (or something) and then try to play normal mode and just do terribly game after game.

Those back and forth games are always fun! Had a similar one recently on Salvage. I like that map a lot.

I think I want to play with the sniper rifles some next. I've not touched them.

Well I went back to using the UMP45. I was pretty much dominating today with it too. So my loadout now is:

UMP45 with red dot
Akimbo 1887's
Claymore
Flashbang
Scavenger
Stopping Power
Commando
Final Stand
Care Package/Predator/Attack Chopper

The UMP works so well because I move faster with it and bring up the sights faster too. It does as much damage as any assault rifle(exception being the FAL) and works great for roaming maps. Went 24/1 on Wasteland then went 10/0 on Highrise. I was in a 6-man party and we dominated pretty much every map. I really need to get a new headset, I somehow lost mine.

Greatest experience EVER last night, my long winded writeup below.

My buddies PJ, Jammy, Mighty, Foxsmith, and I join up to play some TDM. We jump into a TDM Express lobby with another team of 5 and they are telling us to...ahem..."get the KY out and lube ourselves up for the ass pounding that's coming." Tells you the kind of classy guys we're dealing with. Well, the smack talk on their part starts, but it isn't half as bad as their camping. EVERY map they camped like crazy, starting with our first game on Afghan where they had a sniper (who was really good, granted) camp the TF141 spawn the first 1/3 of the game behind a rock. I bet he was "on the move" a total of 20 seconds the entire game. Well, they took an early lead because of it and we had to fight back to catch up and we won. In the lobby they give us the "you all toob too much!" treatment and so on (I started tubing because of said sniper...). PJ and Jammy really egg 'em on like crazy, I blame them!

Next game is on Favela and once again they're camping like crazy. Not just holding down positions, but camping little nooks and crannies hoping you'll run by. For example, near the TF141 spawn up top there's a little building in the corner with a gap between it and the wall...their sniper from the last game switched to an RPD and camped there for a while. It's a close one, really close, it comes down to 73-74 and we won (I got the last kill but I honestly think I only hit the guy once, someone else lit him up for me). More smack talk where one of them tells us to "take HIS mom's dick out of our mouths" (I don't think that's what he meant to say and the next time he said it he changed it to OUR mom, but it was funny). I also noticed this same guy was using a FAL and a modded controller.

Next game is Storm...more camping, more fail on their part. There may have been one more game after Storm, I can't remember.

And then we get to Terminal. They start on the TF141 spawn (upstairs) and literally do not leave their spawn. They are camping in all directions killing anything that comes out. It's bad...I can tell they're getting desperate. Since we only have 5 in our party our random guy decided he will charge them over and over...well, we get behind early but come back to win it yet again...they are furious.

Finally it's Estate. This time we get "the" bad random guy of the group (I think he was 2-15 or something, trying to kill people long range with akimbo Uzi's), we start in the lower spawn (I said as soon as the match startd "they're going to camp the house like crazy"), and most of us lack the restraint to camp. So we charge up the hill and take do alright but we start dropping behind. PJ warns us that we're going to lose at this rate and we need to camp...who cares.

It's then that I check to see who is hosting. I notice 4 people (2 on each team) have max green bars, one of which is Jammy. For some reason the game loves to make Jammy the host so I say "Alright, I've got a great idea to really set them off. Jammy, I think you're the host but I'm not sure. We're probably going to lose, but with 10 seconds left I want you to quit back to the dashboard. If you're the host it will crash the game, that should set them off quite nicely." So sure enough it gets down to the wire and we're losing by over 1000 (thanks to our epic random), and Jammy starts his countdown. At 9.8 or so seconds I get kicked back to the lobby with the "Connection Error" message on my screen...YES!!!!

I invite everyone back and we are all rolling. I get a hate message from one of the guys (which I obviously filed a complaint to MS over ) My buddy Foxsmith decided he's going to send said guy a friend request to see what happens.

We're all so slaphappy that we decide we need to play one more game just to calm ourselves down.

Epic night fure sure.

I love screwing with people like that. Little children are the best. I still laugh whenever I think about the time some little 12 year old called me a lovely human. It was absolutely hilarious.
