Haven't been able to play at all today...missing out on the sweet double XP!

On a side note though for the first time ever I used Commando (decided I'd try to get the emblem)...and I love it. I know it's horribly cheap but I'm not using it as my primary attack, more of a last ditch effort for my sprinting UMP class.

But the ninja knife jump is awesome! But yeah, it feels different knifing without it when you get used to the ridiculous range you get with commando.

Meh, IMO it's not that cheap. Yes it gives you a hell of a bigger range for the knife, but also you still have to be relatively close for a FPS to trigger it. If you got that close to the person and they haven't killed you it's their fault more than it is you being cheap.

Seeing lots of weird scores. I've seen a few guys with 40+ kill games today and have had more than one teammate have a -20 K/D game. I'm guessing a lot of people who haven't played in a while are back for double XP and the regulars are making them pay.

Now, if only I could get on the winning side of one of those mismatches...

In normal TDM I don't think I've ever gotten 40 kills, that's pretty tough to do even for my friend who can go 40/1 on occasion. I usually have around 25 kills, and usually less than 5 deaths. When I do good. At worst I break even though, I can't understand the people I see that can manage to go 1/15.

Actually, the guys in those games weren't boosting. At least I don't think they were boosting. In a later game, the guys I was playing with did call out some boosters (pretty obvious when one went 3-30) and they actually stopped. It was kind of shocking they didn't just scream profanities at us and rant about how awesome boosting is.

That is not entirely true. Unless you actually see boosters, the scores aren't a sure sign. I've seen my friend go 41/1 on a map, and I've seen horrid players with bad scores.

If I see a booster on TDM, it is almost always on Skidrow.

41-1 isn't the giveaway. It's if someone goes 1-25 etc. 5-25 is still horrid but a different thing. A girl with no FPS experience was getting tired of playing guitar hero so I let her play MW2. She did better that 1-25, there is no way anybody can be that bad, much less ones that actually play the game.

Yes, trust me. I've played against people that acted like they had one hand and could barely see the screen. The most horrible players tend to move and turn slow, and are slow to fire. That's why they rarely get kills. The people that get most kills are the fastest.

I'm so glad I bought madden 11 there is a ton of idiots on mw2 right now. Last night I was sniping on wasteland and doing pretty good. I was 12-0 then some noob on my team runs up to me shooting akimbo rafficas at me. I told him to go he was giving away my position and he called me a (penis) and then someone dropped a predator missle on me and him I was pissed off.

Then later in hardcore this dude on my team said I was garbage because I was crawling around on overgrown. I had the best score on my team at 9-0 then he shot me in the back. WTF

meh i run into that crap on normal nights. What really pisses me off is when you get someone hwo just follows you around. Not giving away position but gets in the way when taking cover and stuff.

I haven't went negative once this weekend, I haven't broke even either. Every round has been plus 5 or more. Some of these kids on there are garbage. How can I go 16-5 with a riot shield, and c4 pack with scavenger pro lol....

Playing on trailer park this weekend has been really nice. I stay in the same spot in one trailer and keep blowing people up. I saw one of the best winning kill cams today too. Dude was hiding in the dumpster I told him 3 ppl ran right by you towards the broken plane, he jumps down hits one with a throwing knife, stabs the other in the back and shoots the last guy in the butt cheek with the spas 12 lol

Pretty easy actually. When I go Riot I usually use throwing knife and hardline and have no trouble racking up kills. C4 would actually be easier, but I'm hoping to get a game winner with the throwing knife.

I had to deal with a father/son team in TDM. And they weren't in a party, so they were on the opposite teams (physically in the same room).
Fortunately, they both sucked. So the table talk kept backfiring for them. Got to get a couple of the dumb challenges out of the way. Thank you sucky father/son team.

I think that overall the level of talent was a little higher this weekend than traditionally. My KDR dipped to it's lowest point since February or so thanks to some decent competition (and running a new class that is a ton of fun but not as "safe" as others). The good news is that I broke the 2.0 win ratio.

C4 with the riot shield IME is harder than the throwing knife. When throwing anything you are exposed for a split second, you don't have to do anything after throwing the knife, just hope it hits someone. With C4 you have to wait for it to land, then click the button again, leaving you exposed twice. It works sometimes but the throwing knife is easier to survive than with C4. All IME of course.

I don't get it, you knew I was there because I took you out at least 5 times, it's not my fault you're too stupid to try another tactic. BTW, this same person was also quick scoping, so he was being a little hypocritical IMO.

Sure it's cheap, but damn man after the 4th or 5th time getting raped, one would think a different strategy is in order. I'm sure he filed a complaint like a little sissy.

This morning before work I played my one game, joined a game on Favela and it put me on the losing team 1600-2200. That's close enough that I decided to stay. Sprinting lightweight class w/UMP = mass chaos. Only time I stopped running was to call in two predators and my chopper gunner I got from a care package. Chopper Gunner was neigh useless as everyone camped inside but I ended the match 22-2.

Had another good game the other night on Sub Base, using my M/LW/C class but with a Spas as my secondary instead of my usual D.Eagle/Tac Knife. Went 28-11, all Spas kills. Sure I stayed in the area below the server room, and kept racking up kills. After the game a guy on the other team was bitching about getting pwned by me and the Spas.

Only time I ever camp there is when I'm trying to get FMJ penetration kills for the challenges, I hate doing it though, it's so boring. Some guys I play with last night thought they'd be cool and 4 or so of 'em camped there. Killed me two or so times, then I switched to Danger Close + M203...they mighta killed me that time but I got 3 of 'em with one shot. Then I went back and did it again and got 3 again...

I dunno, people just seem so happy to camp various areas. Certain areas I totally understand, there's a distinct tactical advantage to holding certain areas of the map (above the escalators on Terminal for example), but the guys who lie on the ground looking out of little nooks and crannies or hide hoping that someone runs by just irk me. The worst are the danger close + OMA guys who act as a one man mortar team the entire match.

You missed it, last night I played some more and there were 5 of us in our party...all 5 of us were running marathon/lightweight w/UMP45's. It was hillarious, the other team gave up partway through (we won 75-32 or so).

No danger close, commando, or stopping power in Black Ops. Might be a good thing.

The only thing in the game I find cheap is grenade launchers halfway across the map and quick scoping. You want to camp? Fine, I don't care. I know where to find you then. If you use C4, isn't camping the point anyway? I used to do that all the time in R6V and tore it up with C4, but I have yet to use it once in this game. Just doesn't fit my playstyle.

One time when I was playing with friends on Estate, we had 30 kills I think before the other team had 1. If ever it was an example of how unmatched some players are, that was it. I've been in games were the opposing team didn't reach 20 kills all map, and people didn't leave.

Some might consider it camping, but I don't. It's a high traffic area where people flock to, I'm going to try my best to hold it down. I wasn't hiding in the shadows either, I was constantly moving, and I did get beat quite a few times. 3 on 1 aren't good odds even with a Spas.

I do agree though, that hiding behind a box out in BFE hoping someone runs past you, that's just stupid and really aggravating. I'm not sure why more people haven't figured out that the easiest way to win on Terminal is to hold down the area you speak of. I found that out on a S&D map, my team held down that area and just destroyed the other team. They bitched and called us campers, though that's pretty much the point when you're defending a bomb site.

I'm glad that DC and Commando are gone and I'm fine with them axing stopping power IF they bump up the power of all the weapons a bit. Hardcore kills too quickly, non-stopping power'd weapons (for most weapons at least) kill too slowly. There's that happy middle ground I'm looking for. I too hope that quick scoping is gone, so annoying (although not as bad as the jumping snipers in CoD 4).

As for C4 I suppose camping may make it more useful although the guys who throw it on top of a flag on domination and go off until they hear "flag being captured" by the other team I like more.

Most ridiculous game I've played in we won 75-14, it was bad.

Dc going bye bye is sort of meh to me. With the tubes not being bale to be reloadable via scavanger and the fact it is a bit harder (or so it seems) to buy the attachment it really shouldnt be that huge of a difference if it did stay. I really see it as just kind of a meh whatever to have it taken out and not really that big.

Commando...i dont personally find it bad by itself. but with M/LW/C then it is terrible. I like being able to jump from anywhere and not die.

SP i kind of like going away just cause it really opens up more options. It really seem slike everyone (outside of HC) has SP as their perk 2. Get rid of it and you level things out and allow different class setups a bit more.

Anyways game wise has been meh for me. 1-1kdr really. Just cant get in a groove. Then again it doesnt help ive been playing and web surfing at the same time pretty much New HT setup for black ops is gonna rock

When I go like 18-5 in capture the flag and we dont lose a single flag due to my handy dandy C4 work then I suppose I should brag a little, especially when we got like 5 flag captures in the first round.
