I hadnt played much since my internet has been funky and causing me lag.

but i did play my best round (points wise) this morning. Got almost 50k from a demolition game. I know its with challenges but i still still impressed with my self! For those wondering i got sleight of hand pro, hardline pro, kill 750 (i think thats it) with certain weapon, and like 2 2500 point ones i cant remember. Then i also went ~50-20 which i was happy with. It also went all three rounds with us winning in OT.

Not that great of a story but heck i was smiling afterwards!

Goddam, I typically go 5-15 or sometimes even worse in my free-for-all matches. I'm hoping it's just because I don't know the maps as well as everyone else does (I've only been playing for a little over a month). But the last FPS I played online was counterstrike, and that was almost 10 years ago. Aiming with those thumbsticks is still hard for me, man I miss aiming with the mouse, point-click-kill

Well lately i have been at a 1-1 kdr or even slightly negative. But normally i actually try to plant and defuse the bombs which leads to more kills. That game i'd actually switched to a class with hardline and anti air (stinger) which i hadnt used that much. Just kept getting lucky with getting 4 kills in a row (pred, care package, and uav) and then my care packages were all good. Think i had stealth bomber, pavelow, predator and a sentry gun. Was just good luck overall

I hate playing this game if I dont have friends online. TD express on wasteland, everyone had a mic and no one said anything, I went 28-13 and we still lost. No one communicates on that damn game unless you play hardcore and I dont like HC that much.

It can be a lot of that. If I'm in a game full of bitches like that, I just quit and find another game. It also helps to have a few classes setup for hunting down the little bitches A runner class with Ninja so they won't hear you coming. A class with a heartbeat sensor and silencer so you can find and kill them quietly Heck, if you play FFA include a class with Sit Rep so you can spot people using Tactical Insertion and boosting.

I got a runner class with marathon pro, lightweight pro, and commando pro (either MP5K or mini-UZI) with akimbo glocks. When I was leveling up danger close, I had ACR with grenade launcher, RPG, and C4 with marathon pro and sit rep. So much wide spread damage with those 3. Plus, I mute everyone with a mic :x

Ugh two maps I played on, NO ONE on my team bothered to try and take down the chopper gunners that the other teams got. In both instances, the guy who had the chopper gunner must've gotten like 15+ kills and ended up nuking both times. I would have tried but I ended up prestiging again so no stingers or javelins. So aggravating.

Yeah, I set up my classes based upon two factors; Gun type, then game type.

I have a loadout for Sabotage, Demolition, and that sort of game, use heartbeat, DC, NT, ACR. Then I have a regular run and gun with ACR, a Heavy weapon loadout with LMG, a sniping loadout and then a class I use for experimenting with guns and perk/equip combos. Name them all accordingly and you're good!

Its gotten a fair bit worse over the past few months. Noob tube was always an issue but its even more in style nowadays.

Me and a buddy went 21-2 and 25-3, and we still lost a match once.

No of course. It just so happened that I prestiged so I can only hope someone else bothers to take them down.

As for the different classes and names to name a few,

Runner type: Marathon pro, lightweight pro, commando pro, C4 or throwing knife, mp5k/mini uzi with rapid fire, akimbo glocks/working on USP45s right now. Used to be called 'Rambo' but now called 'Kamikaze'

Sniper class: SOH pro, Stopping power pro, steady aim, C4 or throwing knife, USP45 or Rafficas, Intervention/Barrett. Sniper class with Intervention is called 'Ghost' while the one with Barrett is called 'Shooter'

Well the pave low was up and it read two kills. Not only that, but there was no 'Enemy package' announcement.

Man after months of being poor lag (games were being found in the 100+ ms range) i finally got my ps3 to be nat-open and get good games. And boy its amazing i go from crappy games (less than 1-1kdr) to actually being good (more like 1.5/2-1 kdr)

And i have no idea what i did other than try changing tons of settings and somehow it worked.

So here is an update on my "try MW2" experience...

#1..i kicked so much fucking ass.

Of course, i had my bad games.

From playing the game for about 4 days/17 in game hours i got:

Got Commando Pro, Marathon Pro, Hardline Pro and stopping power pro all them all the way to V.

Impressed a lot of people.


Now for the bad side:

It completely fucked up my BC2 karma...i returned to BC2 today and i couldn't hit a fly trapped in a sealed carton box. That's when i realized... Jesus freaking Christ..MW2 has some EPIC EPIC aim assist!!!! I mean...seriously..i would set the scope/iron sight over the person and the game just like instantly locked in so i could gun down the player. Another thing is the knifing...we all know how that goes. 12 year olds and black people signing their favorite rap songs out loud through the mic...i lost count(p.s. some of them was funny)

For the sunny side of the moon:

It's fun, not gonna lie.
Killstreaks are so freaking fun, they keep you going...also, i am now addicted to care packages, UPS beware.
Everyone on my friends list wanted to play with me...because MW2 is technically all my friends play. My message box got about 500 join request in the past 4 days.


So, for my final notes:

I enjoyed the 4 days i played the game, very cool, it makes me want to go buy it NOW...but i must resist the temptation and just hang in there for black ops...i'm sold on the experience and the fun, but some of the community just scares the hell out of me. I will hold my credit card until i start reading reviews for black ops...not gonna lie...EA is talking big about Medal of Honor...and i got a $20 dollar coupon waiting for me on my email.

Haha glad you had fun. Had some fun games but also some frustrating games. One game on rundown, the other team had a guy go around 17-2 at which point he used his chopper gunner killstreak reward and proceeded to get 23 kills in a row. Of course he ended the game with a nuke and with a spiffy record of 40-2 because no one on my team bothered to try and take it down or even tried hiding for a little cover.

Just turned level 29; one more level to go until I get the stinger and take out all air support. It's been a frustrating prestige the third time around.

As for the aim assist, I can definitely see that although it totally didn't help this guy on skidrow on my team who got the last kill. Watching his killcam, you see him crouching two feet behind the guy but requiring four shots to kill him. Ugh terrible.

Well I'm back to playing domination FULL TIME now. I'm using a riot shield class now and boy do those harriers just love to waste all their time and ammo at my shield. I bet the guy who calls the harrier in hears all the ammo pouring out and thinks he is racking up kills. And yet no +50s ever pop up on his screen .

I started playing this way today and i'm sure my KD ratio has taken a huge hit. I went 4-24 on domination but still finished 2nd in the points lol. i've increased my sensitivity to Very High now and hopefully it makes a difference when in 1v1 close encounters.

I really like getting the "distraction" points for occupying people during fire fights while my teammates mow them down. Anyone else use a riot class on Domination? IF you do I'd like to get friend requested so we can team up on a few matches!

Come to think of it, the riot shield with the blast shield would probably be great for rushing a flag point at the beginning to guard against the inevitable semtex and nades.

Favela is the best riot shield map the in game. The little corridors between A and B are good spots to be in. If you have a buddy noob tubin from the A house, you can block the door into the house for him as well. Had a buddy that got to 25-0 with the riot shield blocking out that A house one time... funniest moment ever. We rofl'd all night.

Oh yeah if you have the blast shield with it nothing can destroy you! Unfortunately I finally prestiged for the first time so I won't get blast shield for awhile. I've been using it through the preset riot shield class but that class doesn't have smoke grenades so I'm missing those.

One thing that is really annoying me is that I keep getting knifed right through my shield left and right last night. I tried doing the "flash melee" last night with no luck. I'm not sure if it was considered "cheating" or something and maybe it was patched. I run through the motions in open space and it looks like i'm doing it right. But when i actually try it on someone i fail horribly. Tips and suggestions for Riot Shielding would be great.

My overall gameplan with the shield is to cap flags, defend flags and work as distraction for my teammates. I'm definitely not using it to get high killstreaks or even a positive KD ratio. I just want to be a GREAT team player and help out.

I have tried using the Danger Close C4 method with the riot shield but can never seem to get the C4 out and my shield back up fast enough to avoid being shot.
