Just pre-ordered for 360! First 360 game I've bought in ages. I hope I'll get used to the controls.. if its anything like GoW2 then I'll be decent I feel. I loved MW on PC, but I have more friends buying this for the 360 than PS3 or PC.

Watched a few vids of some MP stuff over my lunch break, looks so slick. I am of the mindset though that they may have added "too much" stuff to this game though. Everything has 8 attachments and you can have 4 different types of secondary weapons and so on and so forth.

It doesn't really matter how much stuff they add if everyone ends up using Stopping Power, 3x Frag, Martyrdom, and a red dot sight all the time. I just want to see how balanced the game REALLY is.

There is no 3x frag, martyrdom is a death streak (which means it's going to happen very rarely), and honestly while I love stopping power there's one or two Perk 2's that might suit me better. As for the red dot, the iron sights on alot of the guns in MW2 are significantly better than those in MW1 (and there's alot more optics/attachments which makes picking them more difficult).

I think that IW did a good job of making more than 1 way to make a good setup.

No way man...had to be Juggernaut. Empty a clip into some bastard and then he manages to still kill you.

Hell, I wanted to throw my XBOX out my window many a time.

Martyrdom is a deathstreak, Juggernaut is completely gone. To replace juggernaut in a MUCH less annoying way there is a deathstreak that gives you juggernaut-like health for a few seconds after you respawn. I don't know if a few = 5 or 30, I'd assume they made it much less of a crutch though.

I haven't been following everything super close so I'm not sure if this was answered...does anyone know if the pro version of the perks is a separate thing where you choose either standard or pro, or if the pro version includes the standard as well? For example, with sleight of hand pro do you get faster reloading as well as faster aiming or just faster aiming?

I'll be getting it for PS3 although I'm not sure if it will be at launch or closer x-mas. PSN is in sig.

Has there been any details re: local multiplayer? I was kinda disappointed by the lack of customization for local multiplayer in MW1 (couldn't make your own class). Is it going to support 4-player split screen?

Agreed. It's very easy to avoid martyrdom grenades.

I've actually thought about this for awhile, because, to me, if there was a game where you played a terrorist and ran through an airport massacring civilians, I'd find it tasteless, but I'm fine with GTA (and after reading the explanation of the MW2 level, I'm fine with it too).

I can't really articulate why there's a difference, maybe because both games are close to each other in terms of tastelessness and GTA happens to fall on one side of the tastelessness line and the terrorist massacring civilians is on the other side. There's a line SOMEWHERE and everybody's line is different. As far as I know, there are no children, pregnant women, or disabled persons in GTA. And it's probably a design decision because someone decided that putting those categories of people in the game would cross the very fine line that they are already walking.

To me, it's not a matter of games causing people to be more violent, it's about a reflection of what the gamer wants to do in a game. Certain things are acceptable because most people can empathize with the temptation of robbing a bank or stealing a nice car. It gets a little sketchy when someone has the desire to virtually go postal on an unsuspecting metropolitan. It gets REALLY sketchy when someone has the desire to virtually strangle babies. I can go on and name other horrific and appalling potential video game scenarios that would be tasteless, but I'm at work.

Anyway, there's an element of role-playing in games, and the things that your neighbors role-play can really make you wonder . . .
