Because Treyarch is the A team now for CoD.

Uh oh, MW fans attack in 3...2...1...

I didn't play much of Black Ops, but when I did play it ran really smooth. Is also seemed super balanced, which was great compared to MW2. I am not the biggest COD fan out there, but I am not minding MW3 when I play it. But just like BLOPS, I am only playing it once or twice a week.

So, no weapon balancing has been done up until this point, but the type 95 and FMG are gonna get nerfed. Reasonable to me.

Supposedly a lot of the lag fixes are already in play. Anyone feel like its gotten any better?

Thank god the type 95 is getting nerfed.

I have noticed improvements in lag, but I have also noticed a lot more bitch camping. I think the lag in the early days made people afraid to move or something.

Gun is def. annoying. In close range, I would hip fire with my acr for a year and the enemy taps me once with the type 95, and I'm dead?? WTF?

Also, is nerfing the dual fmg's going to really do anything? Are they going to do the same for dual mp9 and scorpion? Only reason why you see more dual fmg than the others is b/c it's the first machine pistol to unlock and it has that cool folding animation.

It has a much higher firing rate than the others - I used the dual MP9's for awhile and it takes longer to kill than the FMGs.

Yep. And more range than the g18. If they nerf it right, people will try other options, and hopefully find that none are abusive the way the FMGs were.

I have a damn good connection at home, as a result I'm almost always made host in any session of playing and as soon as I do I cannot play it. It's literally crap like get killed, never see it or know I'm being shot, watch the replay and the person is looking at me and firing at me and I'm not reacting to them.

Every time that crap happens, after the match ends I exit the lobby and it kicks off a host migration.

In Blops there was a real advantage to being host in most cases except for some of the larger maps with a lot of players. In maps like Nuke Town when being host it was that slight advantage that could make going through all the kill streaks faster and more likely which in turn made owning the match more likely.

Just make it balanced. No advantage, no disadvantage.

Also I wish like nothing else I'd have a way to set it so I NEVER get thrown into a match that's past a user definable point of progress.

If trying to find a FFA match, please stop putting me into matches where the top player has 25 kills or worse yet, the numerous times I've been thrown into matches that literally end just as I get connected.

WTF man? Why would that be something I want? When I sometimes only have time to jump in and play 1 or 2 matches that kind of crap really pisses me off as it's just wasting my actual game play time.

Yup...I have these same issues with the game. I really want them to fix this stuff.

Yeah, not crazy about being dumped into losing games, and then taking the L on it. I feel like my W/L record is literally pointless right now.

But instead of going into my usual mode of trying to explain to people how the lag is normal and how it works yada yada....I'll just say...don't hold your breath for a fix...what you're seeing isnt a bug, it's a feature. If they turned the lag comp off, everyone would cry to get it back, or more realistically, stop playing cod.

So be careful what you wish for.

The last couple of nights the lag has been pretty bad, but instead of staying on and gettting pissed about it, I just get off and play some story or something. It might have been due to the weather we had roll in over the last couple of days but lag happens no matter what.

Again, nobody is asking them to turn it off. Its not implemented correctly. That is why they admitted to the issue and are working on balancing it out.

If there is a balancing issue, it is a bug......a bug within the feature.

I never understood why a setting like this is so hard to implement? My biggest gripe, is if I just backed out of a lobby because I don't like the map, when I search for a new lobby why the F am I constantly thrown back into the one I just left?

I'll believe it when I see it. Nothing I've experienced or seen in any YouTube rage video has fallen outside my expectations for a game played over the net. I've yet to see anyone with any knowledge of what CSHD actually is, articulate precisely what is wrong with their implementation. I've just seen "lag compensation" become a buzzword and a scapegoat for when LPBs get raped by CSHD and they cry foul. With blops, the bitch word was "hit detection", but its the exact same phenomenon all over again.

Except whatever bug 402 talking about can't be what the video is showing, because that video is showing CSHD working perfectly.

The first part, he cherry picks situations where CSHD ruins his day. Notice how it's always someone who blazes around a corner.

The last part, he runs a setup that use CSHD to his advantage. An SMG...running around corners. He's identified one of the few scenarios where lag + CSHD gives you an advantage.

And he's not wrong in that narrow sense...but extrapolating that to say that lagged players have an overall advantage in all ways and that fast players are slowed down...and therefore you should slow down too is wrong. Wrong wrong wrong! He clearly has no understand of the mechanics of the netcode...because if he did, he'd know it's unfixable without throwing the whole system out.

Those kinds of things you see in the video will still happen on a constant basis. They HAVE to, otherwise CSHD isn't working at all. Whatever bugfix or tweak they make will and can not change this. I wish they could.

I was with you on this for the most part, but in this game it happens waay waay more than it should and it was never as bad in the other games or I wouldn't be whining about it. There are just too many instances where I'm in a gun fight, move behind cover, see myself behind cover, and die or I shoot someone, felt like I had them, and they end up dying 3 seconds later?? WTF??

I never noticed type 95 issues. I've stuck with the ACR for the most part, felt most comfortable with it. Only first prestige, but used the point to unlock the ACR for good. The FMG is pretty sick, but I actually like the mp412 the most. Akimbo it rocks.

I don't care what you call it, but the situation shown in the video is exactly what I have been experiencing since launch. Though it seems more pronounced since the patch around Thanksgiving. I'm not real good but have played all of the titles in the series and usually end up with a better than 1:0 KD ratio and can usually hold my own.

I have ~2 days in on MW3 and am level 7 first prestige so I've put a reasonable amount of time in. Thus far for MW3 I'm typically at the wrong end of the situation shown in the video. Especially in the last two weeks, I think I've had 2 maps where I was benefiting from what is shown in the video. When I'm on the good side I'll go 20-8, when I'm on the bad side I'm lucky if I keep a .5 KD ratio, if I go even when on the bad side I consider it a victory.

I truly hope they fix this issue soon. Like I said I don't care what it's called but it's effecting myself and everyone I know who plays on a regular basis. What frustrates me is that what I have noticed is there is almost no emphasis on skill or the way a match is played. The team that gets the positive side of the lag issue seems to win the match.

Edit: Oh and I don't claim to have any knowledge of netcode but this is an issue, I may suck but not to the extreme that the game has been forcing me. I just know that the previous games in the series ran just fine after time. What has changed and why on what is 3rd iteration of the MW series can't they have most of the multiplayer issues ironed out. I know these are completely different teams throughout the series but they aren't completely starting from the ground up are they?

I played from around 9PM Eastern to about midnight last night and have very little issue.

There was still noticeable disadvantage when I was host but for some reason it was more playable than other days of playing when that'd happen.

All in all it was smooth playing.

I just looked at the elite.callofduty.com site and it's so jacked up with my match history. Not even close to right. I hope that doesn't reflect incorrectly on PSN like that also.

Haven't had too much problem as host when I've been host, I have been clipped around the corner from time to time when I tried to run around the corner but that's understandable, with CSHD and all. But generally if I am host, I win the 50/50 battles up front when both him and I are shooting at each other.
