I never understood why the developers don't bring in the previous Modern Warfare maps. Whats the problem? That sounds like a good idea to me... I'm all for new stuff, but those maps with this new game would be slick!

They did with mw2 with a few maps, I've seen rumors they're doing it again with mw3...seems a sure thing to me.

As for the maps, I like how I have yet to really find a place with only one way in. That was on thing I hated in MW2 and BLops is that there where plenty of building with only one set of stairs or only one way to get in. They would always have a camper in them just sitting and waiting for the other people who play the game the right way, to cross their crosshairs and get the kill. I would like for them to bring back Crash and Scrapeyard.

Yeah, pretty funny how the Christmas noobs are falling for the decoy package all over again. That won't last.

Still enjoying the game. My only real gripe is the maps. I still vastly prefer the simplicity of the mw1/2 designs. These aren't terrible, none of them make me groan like cracked or derailed, its just they're just so overdesigned.

But the mechanics of the game are still solid. Love what they did with the streaks, weapon balance and variety is good after the few tweaks they made. They've refined their formula to near perfection...now they just need to make some maps I get excited over.

It seems like they designed so many things to limit the power of assault killstreaks. Like the elevated train rails in bootleg, the broken down roads on interchange, the underground area in downturn, etc. I find the best maps for assault streaks are village and resistance.

Well, it sucks when you're on the receiving end and there's nowhere to hide. Assault streaks have been marginalized a bit but that's all for the better. It's great to no longer be constantly bombarded by AC130s and chopper gunners every game.

My only real complaint left about the streaks is the constant flow of stealth bombers. They just don't belong in that support list, period. They're fairly easy to avoid but its annoying to have to find a place to run and hide whenever you hear that drone...and in games of domination it's like 5 times a game. Its not overpowered or unbalanced...it's just annoying.

Otherwise they've set up the streaks near perfect. The assault stacking hasn't turned out to be a problem like it was in mw2. Support and specialist are both viable and fun to play with.

Gotta agree with the Stealth bomber thing. Mad annoying. Also, another thing I love is that your points for knocking down air support and such is counted as a kill toward your streak. That is just awesome. Often times, I'll be out of ammo, 1 away from a streak, and I'll start looking for enemy uav.. lol. How about the enemy strafe run, that thing takes me straight to the predator to start my own streak.

Personally I think the stealth bomber is just fine. Yeah it can come down a lot, but more than anything it comes down to luck to get some kills. If they have a UAV/aUAV up then it's better and it is a SMART killstreak to run in Domination for sure. Nothing wrong with that.

What tips do you guys have for taking out an assault drone? Will a single EMP grenade kill it?

I love getting the escort air drop. Since I play a lot of dom, I can get 2 in one match. I always tell me team that I will get first dibs and than they can fight over the rest. Dont ever get anything too good from it though. Mostly IMS, UAV, CUAV, and Vest.

I love playing Dom against people who use that silly thing. Once someone calls it in the whole team loses their mind and go bananas over packages and makes it super easy to cap points. That thing takes ages to drop packages so I usually let it linger and let the team fall apart before I smash it out of the sky with the EMP I've been saving.

I really dig the whole endgame that creates...an escort airdrop is super powerful, but super easy to counter. Both it and the EMP can turn the tide if the other team is lax about it.

When using support I always have escort airdrop on, and I throw it right on B (or whatever "middle" objective we are trying to capture), just to get the kills. I don't really care about the care packages, unless it is a stealth bomber or EMP. The other team usually loses their mind too trying to get the crap that it drops.

I feel in love with the recon drone last night! Mostly just for all the points that you get with it. Playing dom it also helped my team know where they were coming from on points. I would just sit on top of a point to tell them where they are coming from and how many. And the best part was getting all those easy assists for tagging them

I mostly play hardcore mode so the recon drone is mostly useless unless I have someone who constantly throws up UAVs.

But when it is useful, it is kind of fun to fly around and have the enemy try to shoot you down haha.

Same here. The only problem I have is sometimes I cant target an enemy for some reason. I know its a enemy but no matter what, it will not target them. But like you said, its great when they stand there and try to shoot it down and than get killed by my team.

I really hate it when the enemy has a recon drone. They are so annoying, like flies you want to swat. I'd use them myself except I can't fly those darned things.

Recon Drone is a point guard machine. I end up with like 10-20 assists a game when equiped. They are mad annoying though, and they even have flares when you try to shoot at them. If they are low enough though, you can usually knife it.

The clans on Elite yes. With the clans on there you get a few perks like titles and more double XP

Oh that's cool. What's the name of your clan? Maybe I'll join it. My XBL handle is the same as ATOT: sygyzy

My beef with something like the recon drone, is that while it's up, you're not doing any killing.

A buddy of mine went 74-1 on one match over the weekend. Mostly killstreak kills. The noobs wouldn't shoot down his killstreaks.

My highest kill total has only been 49. Pretty lame. It was a match where I had 4 AMG's that were glitched out, I had a 33 gunstreak, and never got an moab. BS

Anyhow, I've been loving the specialist package lately. The fact that you get all your gun proficiencies as well is just awesome. I was wondering why people were dropping so quickly when I first started using this as I totally forgot that you get the gun proficienies as well.

I keep bouncing back and fourth between specialist and assault. Can't decide which works out better. Specialist just seems more "fun" to me, but picking up a few nasty kill streak rewards by throwing out a few care packages per game really makes a difference when it comes to kills.

There's more to the game than your k/d

Yeah, but the problem is that it completely takes you out of the game. You might be putting them on the radar for your team, but you're also basically putting yourself in a penalty box and giving the other team a power play. Its really useful in s&d, but I think you're overall doing your team a disservice by taking a player off the field in any other game type.

It's not about the kdr, it's about what's most productive for your team. If I'm flying around a recon drone, I'm not killing enemies. I've played enough now where I'm one of the better players on the team (at least in TD) and as such, using the recon drone would be hurting the team. Like anything else, it all depends on situation (game mode, competition, quality of team, etc.).
