A few odd things I noticed last night:

Attaching an under barrel attachment to the cm901 increases it's fire rate. This is great in CQB, but makes it almost impossible to use at range.

Likewise, attaching a grip to the mg36 decreases it fire rate, giving it some semblance of accuracy, and making it so slow to kill that it's basically useless.

I've also read that adding extended mags to a shotgun increases the number of pellets (and thus killing power). Thankfully that's very difficult to unlock.

Speaking of LMGs...they really screwed them up. They're almost impossible to use in any offensive fashion. They lost their unlimited range and thus their primary advantage. They also recoil very harshly in most cases. The only thing they've gained is laser beam accuracy when prone, so they are now 100% a defensive weapon. Basically if you're not prone, you'll wish you had an AR. I don't recall people complaining about LMGs being too powerful or needing to be fixed, so I dont know why they broke what didnt need fixing.

I love throwing escort airdrop on B in domination. I did it about 10 times today, and it pretty much won it for us in about 6-7 of the games because we were able to get B, then the osprey would hold it down. Don't even really care about the care packages unless it's a stealth bomber.

Shotguns suck royally here.

I know that the pre-nerf MW2 1887s got a lot of complaints because of their ridiculous killing range, but jesus they totally fucked them up the other way this time. The only one worth a damn is the Striker because of the decent RoF and mag size, the rest of them I couldn't do shit with just hit marker after hit marker then I end up dead.

I can't understand how they expect the shotgun to be used as a primary weapon, when they make them so unbelievably under powered compared to every other primary weapon. Hell, the machine pistols make a better primary than the shotguns.

I have read that using either the damage or range proficiency makes them decent, but damn you have to struggle through 23 (or maybe 22) gun levels to get to it.

I hope they fix this.

Agreed. Shotguns need a slight buff. It seems like even if you hit someone at really close range, all you do is slightly dmg the opponent. And if you can't kill someone in at most 2 hits with a shotgun, you're going to end up dead.

The grenade launcher for rifles also need some buff. That too is as frustrating as shotguns where you need a direct hit to get it to kill anyone.

Shotguns are super hard to balance and I just don't know how they can do it. It always seems to end up either useless or overpowered. They're such a one trick pony. Outside of range they're useless, inside of range they destroy everything. But that range is so short...widen it up and you've got akimbo 1887s all over again.

Doesn't seem to be a way to make them balanced per se....they're the very definition of an unbalanced weapon. They're too situational to make me want to ever use them, since unless they're OHK they're basically useless. Make them OHK at a longer range and they're TOO useful. If anything they should be made more deadly within their range than have that range extended...too many times have I hit someone with them, not gotten a OHK, and died before I could follow up.

I will say that the single shot 1887 is pretty nasty right now...it's got a decent OHK range and you're pretty beast with it within that range.

The one thing im sure of is that they didn't need so damn many of them. Two would have been fine.

I managed to unlock both Range and Damage for the Striker, which helps immensely. Before either I could probably take down a group of one maybe two guys before they'd get me, just played a few matches and if I'm close enough (with damage) I can take down groups of 4-5 at once.

It took forever to unlock these though, I can't imagine how painful it would be using the Spas or the KSG.

No lag issues so far but the ruined my gun again. Mk14 takes way to many hits now.

I just prestiged recently and carried over the ACR. Seems like they may have nerfed that as well... sucks. Two really fun guns to use right there.

According to 402, they haven't done any balance changes at all yet.

There's no way they haven't. Type 95 is very nerffed compared to release week and the mk14 clearly doesn't have the dropping power it used to.

ACR felt the same to me though.

I did end up having a few moments of pretty bad lag last night but overall that issue seemed much improved.

Played from about 10pm to 1am with little issue and mostly top 3 ranked on FFA that whole time.

I played around with the guns and nothing everything but the mk14 and typ 95 felt the same. Got the AK47 last night and so far like that but don't like getting overly comfortable with higher level guns since I always prestige as soon as I can.

I started off using the MG36 quite a bit and got most attachments for it, so I am an experienced LMG user, and I agree. I do have one disagreement though; the MK46. Try:

MK46 + 2 attachments (Grip, Red Dot)
Extreme Conditioning
Quickdraw
Stalker

Hahaha, nice. Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. That was a good one.

I really like this new auto-upload to youtube feature. Wish it wasn't a 30 second limit but I understand that anything larger would take forever to uplaod.

Not all Shotguns are that bad... AA-12 and Striker are pretty OP when you know how to play with them, but you are right that you need more than 20 weapon level to make them lil strong.
